Excellent set of knives. Each knife was individually wrapped before delivering. Now I've got to fill the 4 extra slots!

These were a present for my daughter and she loves them. She lives out of town so I had mailed them to her and didn't open them before I sent them or was I there when she opened them. The 2 extra holes in the base gave her a scare, she thought 2 knives were missing. Other than that she likes them.They arrived on time for me to get them to her.

The block is very heavy which is good, however, the block is big so consider counter space when buying.

Great knife I never had better knife than this one. It's razor sharp and has comfortable handle. Peace of the best knives in the world.

A knife that changed my kitchen experience. Cuts any bread, fruit or vegetable that requires a nice slice while applying very little pressure. It's more expensive than most, but it is well worth it. Fantastic product!

I purchased the Henckels four star 8" chef's knife for use in a professional restaurant setting. I am very pleased with this product. It is very light weight and has a nice feel to it. The edge was nice out of the package but I do recommend using a sharping steel with regular use. I will buy more four star series cutlery.

This is a phenomenal 3 inch paring knife! I absolutely love it! The Henckels' Twin Four Star II series totally rocks -- it's more expensive than the Twin Four Star series, but it's definitely worth the price. The added weight from the end-cap really helps to contribute to the overall performance of the knife. Look past the price, and know that you're making an awesome investment that will give you many amazing meals in return. :)

These are great knifes, always sharp, this is the second set I bought for friends. I would buy more.

Okay, I'm not a big review type guy, but I have to let all know! This was a Christmas gift for my brother and his wife. I shopped around and hit a lot of websites...and as I always say, Zappos rocks. This knife set was considerably less expensive than all others. But quality was not sacrificed. My Sis in law called me while making breakfast the next morning. She was very impressed while cutting the fixins for "Belly Buster" omelets. Carving prime rib to lay next to the eggs was never easier! And not only that, but it's all provided and backed by Zappos. Always a winner!

Purchased for my mom who seriously cooks up a gourmet meal with no effort. She loves good tools in her kitchen and this peeling knife is something she uses every day. Very good quality, handles easy and very effectively.

If you take your kitchen knives seriously, you should really have one of these. I find that the 5 inch blade is great for most chopping chores. The edge is unbelievably sharp, for effortless cutting. The handle is balanced and very comfortable. I just don't see how I got along without it!

These are by far the worst kitchen knives I have ever used. They do not slice but rip and tear. I tried to trim some very nice steaks and they would not cut, my teeth would have worked better. They work fine on vegetables but not raw meat.

So far so good. I ordered these about a month ago & have used them often. Very sharp & feel sturdy in my hands. I hope they really never do need sharpening! Don't put them in the dishwasher. Wash by hand & immediately dry. Should last a long time.

I love these knives, even if my husband says you can't love an inanimate object. More than the knives, I love Zappos.com. Truly the best customer service anywhere!

I bought these knives as a Father\'s Day gift for my husband (who is always complaining about our knives). He loves them. They have stayed sharp even after 5 years of daily use. Think of them as an investment in fine dining.

The knife set I ordered as a gift was as promised. Delivery was unbelievably quick! The price was comparable to what I would have found on sale in a store, but far more convenient! My son loves the knives and says they are so nice to use.

While I was excited to receive the set as it is the first professional knife set I ordered, I was disappointed to learn that the set was missing one knife. It just seemed like too much of a hassle to deal with this issue. The remaining knives were not as sharp as I expected them to be and much lighter than I anticipated. That being said the knives themselves look great and perform their function. However, if I had an option of buying this set or a set that was a little more expensive but of better quality, I would choose the latter.

I found these knives at Target for a much higher price, but we really wanted them for our first knife set. After a bit of searching online I found them for a great price here on Zappos with free shipping. The knives are great, 5 stars all the way, they are well balanced, hold a great edge and they look great sitting on the counter in the block. My only complaint about the whole transaction is how they were shipped. I really think Zappos forgot that they were shipping knives instead of shoes because they were packaged the way I would expect a pair of shoes to be packaged, the box of knives was simply in a larger box, with no packing material of any kind. When I opened the knife box it appeared that a small tornado had gone through and dinged up several of the blades. They were not dinged beyond repair and a few swipes on the sharpening steel smoothed them out. All that to say, Zappos has a great price and free shipping, but maybe they should stick to shoes.
