Zoot Sports Reviews
I am a huge fan of the Zoots. I wore this particular pair for the first time for my first half marathon...sockless. Unbelievable - no sores, no aches, no blisters, no spots that rubbed. My feet, hips, knees felt amazing at the end. Wow. I can't say enough how impressed I am.
Awesome shoes! I wish I would have ordered a size smaller; they are kind of big but very comfortable.
I purchased these on Friday and then ran a 10K on Saturday (without socks)! Right out of the box these are the best shoes for fit, comfort, and control. I cannot wait to race in them again!
Love these shoes! Not only are they super cute but they're so comfy and provide awesome support while running. They're easy to put on and take off. The ball of the shoe is perfect width...I'd say true to width, so you don't feel as though your toes are crammed and allow you to run comfortably without any discomfort. This was the first time I tried this brand and have to say I'm completely sold on it.
This is not a sockless shoe! Fit was true. I thought it would be too thin but when I got them on my wide size 9 foot fit inside well. I tried to go sockless in these and was developing a blister within the first mile. They have a moderate heel with a stiffer midsection to help provide kick in your stride. That was positive. They do not have much arch support. Luckily the insoles are removable. Overall I'm kinda pissed that these shoes need so much tweaking, but the good news is that they are tweakable.
Love this shoe! I don't compete in tri's but I was going on vacation and needing a cute, comfy shoe that could take lots of walking and keep my feet cool. These shoes are made to be worn without socks - bonus! Comfy, cool, looked great (mine are pink). No "breaking in" time required. Slip on & off (no tying). Some say it runs 1/2 size small, but I like a good fit (especially without socks) so it was true to size for me. So comfy and convenient, I'll order a 2nd pair for when the first eventually wears out.
This is one of the best looking, most comfortable, and just all around best shoes I've ever purchased. I just told my wife the other night how much I loved them and since I wear them to the gym I wanted to be another pair exactly the same color and all so I can have to wear out and about since my other shoes I have turned into my gym shoes.
Perfect fit and free overnight shipping- what's not to love?Perfect fit and free overnight shipping- what's not to love? I bought the 2XU pair first and they fit weird for me as in tight on thighs and loose in leg holes with a single fabric piece over groin area. These are perfect for swimming under wetsuit if desired as well as great running support. Even rode 50 miles on the pad and felt great.
They are good sliders, comfortable and well built but I don't know what the advantage is over much cheaper ones.
These are super cute and the footbed is very comfortable, but they are WAY to tight through the upper part of the foot. Unfortunately I have to send them back, which is too bad because I was so excited about them! I don't think ordering up would work, because they are just the right length now. They just squeeze so tightly if feels like they're cutting off the circulation to my feet and they dig into the insides of my feet just below the ankle.
Great looking & the coloring looks great with any workout outfit! They are far more comfortable than the average athletic shoe (comparable the Saucony brand). I would say that they are not quite as comfortable as other Zoot shoes I have though (Ultra Kalani or the Ultra Kalani 2.0).
I wore this during the Chicago marathon recently. I had an older pair/model that I used in the Houston marathon in January. I was satisfied with both their performances. They are light but still durable.
These are the best athletic shoes ever! I read the reviews and comments and everything was right on - they are very comfortable, no socks needed, fit my feet. Need to move up 1/2 size larger than normal. I had to size up 1/2 size from my normal athletic size of 7-1/2 to 8 and they are perfect. I read that in previous reviews and it is true - great find! I walk in them, kick box and work out in the gym. Great for everything!
This is my second pair of Zoot Ultras. They are definitely half a size smaller than my others of the same size. While I am sticking with Zoot for comfort and lack of tongue/laces I am really bummed that I paid so much for shoes that I cannot really run in. I did not notice the difference until I went for a run.
The shoe is fantastic. great snug fit. light, but stable and surprisingly full of cushion. Just completed 1/2 marathon in them after training a few hundred miles and they performed very well.
The Ultra Race 3.0 is a light weight high performance shoe that the average weekend warrior would enjoy. I have about 60 miles on Ultra Race 3.0 and it still feels just like it's out of the box.
These fit differently than their immediate predecessors. There are some different pressure points on the side of the shoe where there is now more exterior skeletal material giving a more stable structure for holding your foot. These seem to stretch out after a couple of runs. Sizewise there appears consistency as I purchased a pair of 11s 2.0 and these 3.0. the lower seems identical to the 2.0 save the color scheme. The mesh is oriented at a different angle with the 3.0 a switch that makes tremendous anatomical sense as it relates to the fluid movements of the foot within the shoe. The lacing pattern is similar but the spacing of the eyelets (all eyelets, no fabric pulls for the laces) has changed with the 3.0. This creates pull on the mid's structure (as above) which, I think, causes the pressure points on the lateral base of the 5th metatarsal. The mid itself is noticeably more narrow, a welcomed revision, as there is less side-to-side motion creating a more stable fit while maintaining its neutral foot-strike pattern. All in all, this 3.0 version of the energy welcomes many design changes, but one of my favorites is the distance between the read of the shoe and the front tongue -- the 3.0 boasts a lessened interval providing for a more snug fit up the top of the foot (there is also a pull ring incorporated into the tongue structure) as well as a pull on the rear to facilitate brisk entrances. Lastly, there is a material change, the liner seems more integral and the brim of the shoe is now much thinner and combined with the rest of the aforementioned, creates a much more secure fit overall. The footbeds seem to mimic the overall structure and changes in the shoe as they appear a bit more rigid and I have some muscle pains in my legs after the first 2 runs.
