Vasque Reviews
This is my second pair of Vasques. They are perfect for light hiking in the summer. Rugged, firm support all around. I love 'em. Last pair went to Grand Canyon with me.Zappos: fast, efficient, and friendly
These are the only shoes my husband has worn for the past 20+ years except for his "wedding and funeral shoes." Thank you to Zappos for carrying this classic. I can't comment on the fit or performance, but my husband wears these in all sorts of rough conditions - hiking in Utah, or birding in a swamp, and these boots keep his feet comfy. I know he would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a classic hiking boot.
My second pair of Vasque that I love. These are very comfortable and rugged. Not heavy on the foot but feel indestructible. I like a shoe that you can feel sturdy when doing anything. I just bought a pair of Mizunos and they feel like slippers compared to the vasque. Really nice pair of shoes. Will buy again if these ever wear out.
These are beautiful, stylish, and very comfortable shoes. Not only do I get a lot of compliments, people want to know where to buy them.
I normally really like Vasque (they make my trail running shoes, which I love), but these just didn't fit right. I have narrow heels and wide toes, which Vasque normally caters too, but these were both too short and too wide. (Also, they're pretty ugly in person). Going back.
Love these boots. I ordered them form my 13-year-old son. He is a Boy Scout and will be going on a number of outdoor backpacking trips this summer, in addition to several week-long outdoor camps. I ordered him 3 different pairs/brands and he liked these the best. I ordered him his regular size and these had the most toe/growing room (about 1/4" - 3/8"). He thought these were comfortable and that his foot didn't slip around, which is important for not getting blisters. He has narrow feet, and we could adjust these to fit. They are waterproof, too. I have had a pair for Vasque hiking boots for many years and they have held up very well. I am very pleased with these boots.
Great light weight boots for a variety of applications. The drawback is the breathable mesh picks up foxtails and other weeds very easily.
Extremely light and nice looking. I can feel where the leather upper meets the mesh inside the boot and there is rubbing on pinkie toes and big joint of the big toe. Will definitely take some breaking in. Wore them for a 7 mile hike rated T3.5 -4. Stiff, supportive and they kept my ankle from twisting several times. Excellent shock absorbing and nice traction. I like them!
I normally wear a 7.5 wide shoe, or an 8 wide for hiking boots for extra sock room, which is what I ordered. They were too small, and did not look or feel like a wide width boot. They otherwise appear to be sturdy, high quality boots. If I wasn't in a rush to have new boots I would probably exchange these for a larger size and try again.
These are great shoes! I think there is a small raised seam near my pinky toe that was giving me some trouble but if I wear thick socks it doesn't bother me. I can walk forever in these shoes and feel great!
Had these for a few months now. Just finished a 5,800ft high section of the AT. 30deg, rain, wind, 50 pound pack. These boots are sturdy, strong platform for heavy loads. At the end of the day my feet and ankles felt great. These are not lightweight boots but light boots kill my ankles when the trail turns to good sized uneven loose rock. Wish they had rubberized toe guard but nothing's perfect. Oh, and lots of room for thick socks.
These shoes will take you wherever you want to go in style. They are comfortable and very well made, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Vasque. I have several pairs of their shoes and I find them to be of outstanding quality. Some of the pairs I have had for several years and they barely show wear. I am very happy with this purchase, so much so that I'm getting another pair in a different color.
I wear these daily as work boots; hiking, shoveling, wading through shallow streams. I've worn these for years and am now on my second pair. After a year and a half of heavy use, the sole of one boot cracked while I was working in the deserts of West Texas. I was impressed that they lasted as long as they did! I wear an 8.5 in normal shoes and boots, and an 8.5 in these boots lets me wear thick hiking socks. I have slightly wide feet and like that these come in widths.
First week with my Pesto Green Vasque Rifts. The rubber soles are very sticky, great traction! Rubber surrounds on the toes and heels. These seem like ideal Parkour shoes to me. Nice snug fit with the lacing down to the toes and comfy. Not super breathable, but my feet weren't burning up in them either. And they look great on my feet with jeans.
I'm 66 years old. Over the years, due to much walking and social dancing, I've developed a painful arthritic condition called Hallux Limitus in my big toe joint. My podiatrist advised me to wear shoes or boots with stiff soles and a slight rocker bottom to minimize movement in that joint. These boots allow me to walk pain free and are now the most comfortable footware that I own. I think they look great too. Not so good for dancing in however. :)
