WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!! These boots are the best purchase I have made! Personally I don't like bulky shoes, but these fit my needs! They sre WATERPROOF, SOFT ORTHAPEDIC SOLES, and CUTE! I recommend going half a size up, they fit perfectly, i normally wear a size 6 in sneakers so I was afraid of ordering a little more up. I am a student commuter, hence why they fit my needs! Worn them in snow and heavy rain and they do just what they're made for! I do recommend if you want to keep the color in tact, to take care of it with a spray or cleaning them when you can. I personally don't mind if they get the worn out look.
This is my fourth pair going, and not only do I have no regrets at all, I'm feeling positively evangelical about these bad boys. I've always been a boot person, and although I started off liking Caterpillar the most, the advantages of and style of the classic Timbs eventually tipped the scales in favor of it. These are, simply, the most handsome and cool-looking boots I've ever seen - not to mention one of the most functional as well. Being someone who's trying to live a minimalist and more responsible life, this marriage-made-in-heaven of utility and style is in turn a godsend for me: the Classic Timberland, in particular this Wheat Nubuck style (or the so-called Yellow Boot), is my most favorite shoe of all time, and if I had to have just one pair of shoes my whole life, this would be it. Now, I have four main points. First, sizing: You will want to try them on first before buying them. My foot is a size 7 US Men's, but I wear an 8 for boots to allow some breathing space. The 7.5 fit my feet almost exactly, so much so that adding a removable insole made it too tight and uncomfortable - however, the 8 is very loose and SHOULD have a removable insole to make a more comfortable fit (and wear). Most reviews I've read include sizing concerns, which is one reason I hesitate to order shoes online - nothing still beats going to a physical store and actually trying the boots out. Second, I can spend all day (and all night!) in these bad boys and not once feel any concern about my feet - that's how comfortable they are, even more so with the Earthkeepers removable insole I took from another pair of Timbs. Whether laced up snugly (for walking long distances or hiking) or untied loosely (for travel, style, and driving), my feet are always grateful for such comfort and looks - which leads to my third point. As mentioned, these are the handsomest boots out there, and I always receive a lot of compliments, especially when paired with their traditional partner, blue jeans. However, they're really versatile - like that one likable friend who gets along with everyone, these boots can be paired with anything, from other-colored jeans to shorts and everything in between - sprucing up a really casual outfit or dressing down and "hipping" a formal ensemble (though admittedly, for suits, "heavy" materials and colors are best recommended). Wear them tight or wear them loose, and you open up different new worlds of styling ideas and opportunities - the combinations are endless! Fourth, as mentioned, they are the perfect match of style and utility - we all know these are "waterproof", and (originally) made for the working man. I had reservations with the attachment of the sole to the upper (I do still favor Goodyear welt for its toughness) but this direct attachment and seam seal seems to be a worthy challenge for the Goodyear - even my oldest pair (navy with angora), twelve years old by now and with a new owner, is still sturdy as ever. I do hate to get them down and dirty, as I also use them for fashion, but that is their purpose and not only do they hold up well, they're easy to clean up so they'd still look fresh off the oven. I'm very glad I chose the classic Timberland for my all-around, everyday shoe for work and play (I sometimes even go to the gym in them) and everything in between, and I'll keep coming back for as long as they stick to these values.
These are a pair of beautiful, stylish boots that make me feel happy when I wear them! The ankle feels a little stiff, but after wearing it all day for about 5 days, it is starting to get softer. I walk a lot, and my feet don't get sore at all. I am a size 7 wide, and these fit true to size.
I've had these boots for nearly six months now and they've held up great. The first time I put them on they were incredibly comfortable and warm. I wore them every day through the Iowa winter and they performed quite well, kept me high and dry and really locked the heat in. I also particularly enjoy the style and they look great in a variety of situations. They did run a bit large but I kept the size to help when I wear extra thick socks in the cold. It feels like they will last for at least a while longer though honestly we will just have to see.
I needed replacement for my old Timberland hiking boots. I ordered these Vasque and Merrell. Timberland are very comfortable, nice support but little wide even for my wide feet with bunions. Merrell boot were very comfortable, but not high enough to provide ankle support. Vasque were snug and perfect.
Shoe looks great. Seems well-built. Size was far too large. I wear 11 in multiple other brands â this shoe in an 11 left a full thumb or more ahead of my big toe. Returning for an exchange on a pair in size 10. Hope that works!
This boot was designed for guys who work outdoors and want to keep their feet warm and dry. And, with regular applications of silicone water proofer they do keep your feet warm and dry. They are well made so given reasonable care should provide several years of good service. They are NOT designed as hiking boots. A construction worker putting a mile a day on them will do fine. A twenty mile hike...nope.The majority of guys buying them recently choose them to look cool walking to class (unlaced, of course). If sprayed with silicone they are an okay around campus boot, but again, they are not as comfortable for walking miles as a true hiking boot.Note that Timberland sells several versions of this boot at lower price points. For campus wear a cheaper version will do fine.
I found these for my friend. I usually shop for her because she's getting her Ph.D. and she has two small children and works many hours. She loved them, she has wide calfs, and these were perfect, they look great on her and she says they are comfy and true to size. I like them because sometimes when she gets wide- boots, they look bulky and big, but these hug her leg and are super sexy. I think this might be my best buy yet!
I own two pairs of Clark's Chukkas (Bees Wax Leather and Suede Taupe). The Clark's Bees Wax are casual and I wanted something between casual and dress in brown. I ordered these in Potting Soil Hammer and they are perfect. Very comfortable. No break in time at all. I wear a 10, ordered these in a 10 and they fit perfectly.
Super comfortable and Sexy
