TIC TAC TOES Reviews
I typically wear an 8.5W. I have a wide front and narrow heel. So the strap on these was a plus. I ordered my size, because a size larger was not in stock. The front is slightly pointed, so it hurts my big toe, and the back digs into my heel (even with my small heels!). They aren't bad looking for flat character shoes. But they're not going to work for me...
I purchased these shoes for a part in musical and to double as dance shoes when I do contra dancing. The heel is low enough but a bit unstable as it tapers in at the bottom. I think the fact that is a somewhat wide fit added to the instability. I purchased an 11 which is 1/2 size larger but if I were considering it for purchase I'd order my normal street size of 10 1/2 to compare the fit. I liked the strap and the style and it is comfortable, but not ideal for dance turns etc as I could see myself potentially twisting my ankle.
Love my "Kelly" shoes - most comfortable shoes I have ever danced in. Wish they would make it in more colors.
These shoes are my first official dance shoes, so I don't have a lot to compare them to. They were comfortable for my salsa class and some light dancing. My feet got incredibly sweaty in them, so have purchased some footies to wear when I'm wearing them. I'd buy them again. They are not wide at all, but I wouldn't want them any wider because I'm using them for dancing.
I contra dance every Friday night. These shoes have been perfect for dancing. They look good, feel good and I am so glad I bought them! I never had to break them in, they felt good from the first time I wore them!
Great service with quick shipping. Not the shoes fault I have foot problems and could have stood more toe room for dancing. Love the style.
I purchased these for my husband. Have been dancing for one year, and it was time to get serious about shoes. I ordered 3 pair for him to try on (different sizes, styles). These fit beautifully and felt/looked more like a man's shoe (not wimpy like so many men's dance shoes). Typically a size 12, he went down to a 11-1/2, since they should fit snug.
I bought these shoes to wear to Contra dances which are very vigerous dances, they have the soft sole for being able to do a lot of turns and not but stress on your legs and knees. I'm very happy with these shoes.
For a first pair of ballroom dancing shoes, which this is for me, this was a good choice. The heel is enough to help dancing, but not so high that I feel off balance. Size-wise: I usually take an 11 wide width. These 11 mediums fit me, but only just, with the tightness, as I expected, in the width rather than length.
These are great! I have such a hard time finding comfortable shoes and for dancing it was even tougher. These are the best fit, look cute and I dance so much better without the pain! I'm getting a 2nd pair and spraying it beige.
I ordered these shoes on Thursday night and received them on Friday. They are comfortable, but a little narrow in the toe. I ordered a wide, but because of all the dancing, my feet have widened over the years. I still love them. This is my second pair of TicTacToes. I love this place!
These are the most comfortable dancing shoes ever! Can be used to practice jazz or ballroom dancing; very versatile.
I'm a contra dancer and I love the shoes! They're comfortable, have good support and have just the right glide v. friction for a dance shoe. I even have room to add my arch supports inside the shoe.
I am an over 50 tango dancer and these do not look pretty, but I cannot dance 5 nights a week in shoes with higher heels and no lateral heel support. As soon as I got these shoes, my feet stopped hurting. I focus on my dress, not my feet for fashion -- if pretty shoes are a must for you, you will not like these. Comfort is more important to me and I guess that's just the way it goes after a certain number of miles are on the feet and ankles. These are really comfortable shoes. I ordered a half size up to put additional gel padding under the ball of my foot. Therefore, I would say without extra padding, these run true to street sizing.
I'd be curious to know how others feel about these shoes a couple of months after having them. I usually wear a 10W or a 10.5B, and I went with the reviews and ordered the 11B. They fit great out of the box and I danced all night in them with no pain at all. The heel really is perfect. Now it's been about two months, and because they are real leather (which is great quality), they've stretched more than other shoes I've had and they're so big on me that my feet slide on the inside, making it hard to dance salsa. Don't get me wrong, I totally love these, but I am going to reorder in a 10B (the width on the B was fine for me, and I do have wide feet), wear them around the house for a few days on the carpets, and I really think they will stretch out enough that they will be better than the larger size. Good luck, and see you on the dance floor!
I cannot believe how quickly I received my shoes. Plus, they fit perfectly. Soft and extremely comfortable. Thank you.
These are mostly comfortable. I get the tiniest bit of digging in from the strap/pressing on my big toe after a while of dancing in them, but they work perfectly fine for me. I am in a ballroom dancing class at my university and so i dance in these about three hours a week.
I bought these shoes for my husband for Christmas. He says are comfortable and required no break in period. He has received multiple complements on how nice they look!
Shoes are cute and true to size. I wear size 8 in street shoes. Ordered size 8.5 with some wiggle room. Zappos is great with fast shipping!
