The Gentlemens Refinery

I've been a long time user of the Art of Shaving shaving cream, but they recently got acquired by P&G and changed their formula so it now includes parabens. As a result I started looking for another shaving cream. This one more than fits the bill.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. He has very sensitive skin when it comes to shaving and it's been difficult trying to find an aftershave that doesn't irritate his skin or worse yet, burn after he puts it on. We have finally found the cure! It may seem like a lot of money but you will be surprised how much there actually is, and you only need a pea size amount. He says that it works best to pat it on rather than try to apply it like a moisturizer. It has a very light fragrance that disappears shortly after it is applied.

I bought this as a gift for my husband, who has sensitive skin. He loved this product! And for him to comment several times about how much he liked ittells me it must have been great for sensitive skin.

This is the by far the best shave I have ever had. I started with the gift set last January and I am just having to replace the individual items. I don't shave every day, but I also don't go more than a day or two without shaving. The set complements each perfectly. Worth the extra cash if you've got it!

Amazingly great stuff; it's an aftershave product focused 100% on the health and care of your face. This is hands-down the best aftershave for your face; it turns your skin into silk and after using it for a few weeks I can say it keeps making it better. Even though it's expensive a little goes a long way; with a wet face all you need is one squirt of the pump for decent coverage. There's easily 100 applications in this bottle, and that's on the conservative side. There are a couple considerations (not flaws): 1) It's alcohol-free, (as mentioned this stuff is focused on the care of your face; alcohol is tolerated by most people's skin, but it's not necessarily good for it). 2) The scent is good, but also quite mild. Personally I add a half-pump of this to any other aftershave balm I use just to give it a boost--and because I do that I might replace this bottle with the unscented variety next time around.

Very nice stuff. Somewhat thick (which is good) leaves your face feeling very smooth. Absolutely no bite or freshness, more like what it says: a balm, almost like an herbified butter for your face. Minimal scent, which is good if you plan to use separate cologne. I like it a lot for how perfectly smooth it makes my face feel afterwards; for my next aftershave though (when this stuff runs out which I expect it won't for at least a year) I plan to go back to something with more bite to it.
