SOLE Reviews
Ouch! I have several pair of these flip flops from past years. They have changed the materials used on the portion that goes over your feet since I last ordered and these are stiff and rough...they cut/rubbed the top of my foot raw within an hour of putting them on and walking around. Unfortunately, I ordered another pair in a different color before I discovered this. Both pair are going back.
I really want these to work for me because they are the absolutely best that I have found out of Orthaheel, Superfeet, Born, Spenco, which are the best for arch support that I have found and I have tried a lot thanks to Zappos. Spenco has the least arch support out of those I just listed. Orthaheels I have had are loose and too wide. I am not even considering the ones with little or no arch support that are not even contenders because of lack of arch support, like Crocs, Merrell, Clarks, Naturalizer, Aerosoles, etc. These sole casual flip-flops have great arch support, the cork bottom is springy and comfortable and molds perfectly to my plantar fasciitis problem feet and makes the plantar fasciitis pain go away completely. Superfeet flip-flops do the same. But Superfeet are a bit hard, but that is way better than having plantar fasciitis pain. So I was excited about the sole casual flip-flops because of the springier cork footbed. But the straps are the problem! They are way too tight. So tight they rub blisters on the tops of my feet. I have been wearing them around the house for three days now trying to make myself figure out a way that I can keep these because I absolutely love the way the bottom of the shoe molds to my feet and gives great arch support and a springy nice feeling. But I do not think that I am going to be able to put up with red, sore, almost bleeding blisters on the top of my feet from these darn straps. If Sole is listening then all you have to do is re-engineer the straps to be just like Superfeet straps and you will have the absolute best sandal/flip around for plantar fasciitis sufferers. Please do this! I will be your most loyal customer and I know many other plantar fasciitis sufferers would too. You could have a goldmine.
This shoe is so painful, I would not recommend this to anyone. The footbed feels fine; it's the straps that are so painful; they're way too stiff and they cut into the top of my feet, rubbing skin off and causing blisters, no exaggeration. I'm returning these and will stay away from this company's shoes in the future.
Awesome orthotic! Have been wearing these for about a year and a half and really love them. They are great for plantar fasciitis sufferers and have helped completely heal it in my right foot and the left one is coming along. They have excellent arch support.
These insoles are firmer and bulkier than expected. A bit too bulky for most of my shoes. Decided to keep them anyway for the arch support.
Disappointed...I so badly wanted these flip flops to fit. I have a few issues with my feet and back and need support. First off they are super hard and narrow. The straps were snug and do not give. I ordered my correct size and there was a large space between the tip of the shoe to the tip of my longest toe...not a flattering look. If your foot is narrow, you may be able to pull these off. Sorry to say, they are going back today.
I first found these arch supports when I was in the army and they almost instantly relieved me of all my knee and lower back pain. Having flat feet I didn't put them in the oven to mold them I just wore them as they came and they work wonders for your feet.
I spent a LOT of time last summer trying to find thong sandals with some support for my super wide, bunion prone feet. These Sport Flips, the casual flips also by Sole and Eastland's sandals, worked. I also bought Sole for my son who needs a lot of arch support. Great shoes.
These fit extremely tight with zero give. Also, after just wearing them around my house, trying to see if they would stretch a bit, the material started to crack already on the sole near the arch of my foot. The side areas that have the lettering above, fan out and spread, making the shoe look terrible. I am returning these, I am not happy with the quality whatsoever. Ridiculous price for these shoes.
These are absolutely great! I like them better than SuperFeet. I used the wear to mold method. I did not heat them up, I have high arches. My feet felt much better even when walking over 10 miles a day. Give them a try; you will not be disappointed. Foot stretching exercise are still a must. I do not understand why companies do not educate their employees about good insoles and foot stretching. Their employees would feel much better and could perform better. They would Make more money and have less issues with foot injuries.
This is the best insole that I have tried, and my job has me on my feet 12-13 hours a day. Be careful to watch them when warming them in the oven.
Oh, my. I have lived with foot pain and surgeries for years. These Sole things are so comfortable. Great cushion but still a good arch support. I'm buying more.

Personally, I can tell absolutely no difference in the feel of these insoles from before to after the heating process. I tried the process twice. I have fairly high arches but the arch of the insole feels too hard, too high and too far back toward the heel. Yes, I ordered correct size and made sure the length was right for the shoe. I have since tried two other brands of heat moldable insoles with much better results. Montrail's Enduro-Soles are good but are only comfortable for me in a well cushioned shoe like a running shoe. They do elevate the heel a bit so they may not work well in lower ankle cut styles. (works well in my Asics Gel Aztec). The other insole I've just started using is the Sofsole Brand, which actually look very similar to these Sole insoles. The heating and break-in process produces a better result in my opinion and they have a slightly softer, less rigid feel to them. The heel is not a elevated as the Montrails but the forefoot has slightly less lateral flex, which is better for my plantar-fasciitis symptoms. Not trying to steer anyone away from the Sole insoles but this is just my experience. Your results may certainly vary. Good luck.
The arch support begins too close to the heel causing bruising and pain. I suppose this varies with the shape of one person's foot to the next; however, it is important to note that one size does not fit all.

I used to love Super Feet, but I found their arch support lacking. I immediately felt these correcting my right foot's collapsing arch. The pressure was evenly distributed. I have used more aggressive supports in the past that were just blister-making machines. The heel cup is deep so I do not feel like it will allow my foot to bulge over and result in slicing. I am very happy and believe I am a convert. I just wish the price was lower. I would probably by a ton more. The carrying case these came with looked like it was more wizz-bang than the insoles. Worry about the product, not the packaging. Lower the price.
I have had plantar fasciitis in both feet for years. These work better for me than any of the custom inserts I've had made and fit into almost any shoe. I also use the thicker version of this product, made for athletic shoes and I very happy with them too.
I have tried other insoles, but continue to buy soles over others. My feet are picky and I like the arches in the soles.
I bought this for my 12 year old son and he loves them. He uses them in soccer and since has stopped complaining about his heel. It maybe a snug fit, though.

These Sole inserts provide excellent comfort. They are third shoe insert I have ever tried and by far the best.
I have been using Sole Softec Ultra insoles for many years and love them! I have totally flat feet and these allow me to get through my day without pain!
