About Sanuk
Sanuk has been around since July, 1997 when Jeff Kelley started making sandals out of inner tubes and indoor-outdoor carpet. 1998 marked Sanuk's first full year of operations. While they've progressed into semi-proper footwear company (uh-oh), Jeff's spirit of innovation still serves as the backbone of their little brand. Today, Sanuk strives to make products that are as much about funk as they are about function. They've found that sandals are happiest when they tread the road less traveled – so Sanuk has design 'em accordingly.
Because "Sanük" is the Thai word for happiness and balance, their name is also their mantra. Sanuk's goal is to provide creatively inspired yet thoughtfully designed products for the global outdoor community... mostly because we're all a part of it.
Headquartered in Southern California, Sanuk is an eclectic little family hailing from Santa Cruz, Seattle, Cardiff by the Sea, the Philippines, Colombia, Hong Kong, and even Papua New Guinea. Holy cow, these are comfy! I'd imagine these are the equivalent to walking on a cloud. I bought a pair for my mom for Mother's Day and she loves them so much she's already bought two more! I have the fraidy cat sandal and I love them but these are the best hands down. I love the colors they have too. Mine are aqua but I'm going to get orange too. Sanuk might be a little pricey but they're totally worth it!
I have this in Brown - it's comfortable - didn't have any sizing issues. I bought because I wanted a leather upper. The main downer - which is pretty annoying is that when the sandals get wet they foam. which means if it rains - or wear them to a beach the water will turn into foam - like a soapy, creepy foam. And it's definitely noticeable to outside parties. So wear them - but not to the beach or in case of rain - which I consider a drawback in a flip flop.
Super comfort sandal is lightweight; strap between big toe and the other to its side does not chafe or hurt. I wish they would come with a squared toe.
These are very comfortable shoes and fit great. You will need to get at least half size larger than normal.
These are awesome flip flps. In my opinion, it doesn't get better than Sanuk. Very comfortable with good support.
I just received my Sanuks yesterday. I love them. I don't want to take them off. I have achilles problems and they feel great. Thanks Zappos.
This is my 4th pair of You Got my Back's, 7th pair of Sanuks and they wont be my last. Need I say more? YGmB II much better than YGmB I. Wont fray around the edges. Zappos rocks!
These are amazing! My father bought me a pair of Sanuks last summer and I decided I needed another pair for this summer. I cannot say enough good things about these! To copy what another reviewer wrote: it's like "walking on marshmallows!" They really are awesome. I'm normally not a big flip-flop fan, but these have definitely changed that.
Most comfortable flip flop I have ever owned. It almost makes it more uncomfortable wearing normal shoes. The yoga mat makes walking around all day a breeze. Do agree with others that this shoe does not do well in wet conditions as it seems to absorb water and becomes squishy and slippery. Other than that, love!
I have not worn flip flops in twenty years -- I usually can't stand to have anything between my toes. These made me realize that I could comfortably wear this type of shoe again! Wore them eight hours straight the first day I had them and completely forgot that I was even wearing them! Very comfortable! Sizing - I went up a 1/2 size and wish they offered a wide.
Solidly okay. Good build quality. Comfortable after a very short break in period. There's aren't so revolutionary or amazing that they deserve 5 stars but they're good.
I have worn these for years. Amazingly comfortable, I have a bad foot and normally have a hard time with flip flops. No half sizes, I would buy down from your actual size in this style. My goal is to eventually have very color, should be able to do this as they last forever.
Slightly smaller fit than other shoes in my size. They are very comfortable, I can't wait to wear them at Disney World!
These are the comfiest flip flops ever, the are soft and stay soft, I have been wearing them almost everyday for a month and they're still comfortable and squishy and amazing.
Sanuks are the best! The aquishy yoga mat underfoot is as comfortable as you would imagine, and the straps won't cut into your feet or toes. I have two other neutral pairs that are on their third summer. These are cute and reliable flip-flops. Watch the sizing, these are cut perfectly for a slightly wider toe base and one of my pairs is a 7. The other two (including this pair of cheetahs) are 8s which is my normal size.
I love these flip flops. They are very comfortable. I wear them all the time. They have become my everyday shoe once I get home from work. I can walk in them for hours. I will be buying more in different colors.
Super cute, super comfy. Size-wise I'd say they're pretty dead on only coming in whole sizes. I'm usually a 7.5 with a very narrow foot, and the 7 fit perfectly (heel came right up to the back of the sandal - not over). The 8 was a little too wide.
I love these shoes. Nice colors, comfy sole, easy to wear all day. I could use a half size smaller, but they only come in whole sizes.
These are pretty cool casual shoes that fit and walk, as advertised, like sandals. They are a little warm on your feet for summer and not super comfortable for walking long distances but great for just hanging out. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.
