San Diego Hat Company

Clearly a higher quality hat than say the Jessica Simpson line. I loved the Toast color, but the brim is just way too big. My husband said it looked like a floppy tortilla on my head. I searched for the same style/brand with a smaller brim and they don't make one. (The San Diego Hat Company UBL4136 Women's Floppy is close, but a bit stiffer.)

I am happy with this hat, it is not as refined as some others so it's perfect for the beach or a casual situation. It's a bit crunchy and has pretty good memory so it can be bent a bit and hold it. I love the straw color, it looks great in person. And it has a very large brim...fully covers my shoulders and chest. Only thing I wish was that the top was a little less deep so it would not rest on my ears as much. My hat size is a 21.5 and this is loose. Will fix that with the foam tape made just for hats that need to be a bit smaller. Very happy for the price!

I purchased this hat in Arizona, and it was wonderful for the day I wore it. I packed it, and it now just flops down on my face and ears and will not hold a shape. Waiting to hear back from San Diego Hat Company. 5/23/2012

This is my second hat like this and I love it! It looks fantastic on and keeps your head cool while keeping the sun off your face and it also travels great!

Great hat! I purchased it for Preakness and dressed it up to match my dress by sewing on ribbon and an extra large bow. I received many compliments!For Preakness next year, I plan to wear this hat again and change out the ribbon/bow to match my dress for next year.

This is a great hat! I wore it to the Kentucky Derby and it was perfect. It is very large! You can kind of guide the rim where you want it so its not too in the way.

Perfect hat. Bought this for a spring vacation in the sun and the ability to angle it depending on where I was in the sun was really helpful to shade my face. Would love this in other colors too!

Great hat! Wide brims is what I was looking for making it look so elegant. It easily adjust shape of brims, so that's great. The only downside is that it still contains paper products, so I better not get it wet!

This is perfect hat for short bob hair style. It fits snugly so stays on unless the breeze is gusty. The color name celery is not the name I would choose, perhaps blanched celery. It is a light, slightly warm neutral. The only problem was that this was at the bottom of a heavy box. I am still working on steaming and reforming the crown, over a week now. But I am doing this because otherwise it is a perfect and well made hat, just as San Diego Hat Company always produces. This one is perfect for me.

I think this hat is horrible quality which is really sad, given that I had hoped for so much more and really love the style. I packed my brand new San Diego Hat Co. Garden Sun Hat for just one trip to Napa. When I took it out of the suitcase, it was creased, but a bit resilient; however, then I wore it and without it getting wet or stepped on or anything other than a day in hot sun, it's now a limp mess when I wear it. It had literally one day of beauty for this price...now it flops on all sides to the point where I can't see out of it. Do not expect anything of this hat beyond one wearing! I'm so disappointed.

I have several of these visor hats and can't say enough good about them. Cool, comfy, protect face,ears,neck from the sun. Packable, washable. Nearly every time I have one on, I am complimented on the great hat. Love it !!!

I ordered this hat and it arrived the next day! I was very impressed. I love the hat, it looks beautiful and it covers a lot. Perfect for me. But what I love the most is Zappos. Since I discovered this website I always come here to look for things I want. They have an amazing service and variety.

I have owned this hat for a year and I love it! It is very classic and reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. The color variation adds to the beauty of this hat and I prefer wearing it with the brim down as shown in the picture. It also bounces back, if dented, quite well; however, it is not meant to be rolled up (like in a suitcase or beach bag). I highly recommend this hat and the San Diego Hat Company in general.

This is by far my favorite and most practical sun hat. It's lightweight and allows the top of your head to breath while providing excellent sun protection for face, ears etc. It stays in place with adjustable velcro in the back (just make sure to secure the velcro before you put it on to avoid getting hair caught) and while it has a wide brim it is still easy to see out of. Perfect for travel, gardening, pool/beach etc. I wear it almost everyday and easily rolls-up to fit in my purse.

I absolutely love this visor-hat and the concept behind it. That is, providing SPF 50 sun protection for the face and neck, while allowing the head and scalp to breathe. Brilliant! This visor-hat is stylish, attractive, portable (it rolls up) and seemingly very durable. I will wear this visor-hat all summer long with pleasure and envy (smile) from folks who wish they had one.

I like that this hat is packable, has a strap for those windy days on the beach, and a wide brim to keep the sun at bay all around the face and neck.

Cute hat but way to big for my head. I went by all the reviews and took a chance but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I bought the yellow and it looks exactly like the photo. If you have a small head like I do then you may need to pass on this. I wish Zappos carried hats that are adjustable or at least smaller in circumference. I believe this hat is 23 inches and I clearly could go down to 20 or 21.

At last, I found what I was looking for. I went through two other hats. What I like most about the hat is that it holds the shape and doesn't block my view. Completely blocks the sun. I am so glad I bought it.

This is a nice looking sun hat. It's very neat, nicely done, and airy on sunny days.

Crazy big, exactly what I needed and wanted. Covers shoulders too. Seems odd, but if you want sun protection (and I do after recent trips to my dermatologist) this is the hat. Just be aware, it is for sitting, not for movement. It's too big to walk with (air flow will blow it off). Unfortunately, my husband is not a fan and after mulling it over, I am returning. :(
