Salomon

I took these puppies out for a tame trail run and liked the wide toe box. The quick lacing system is a great thing and a strong selling point for all Salomons. The feel very light for a trail shoe (especially when compared to my others). I bought a half size bigger and probably didn't need to but I like the down hills and the extra room keeps my toes from hitting the end. I like my shoes roomy and these felt roomy. You may not need to size up. It depends on your preference. I love the shoes and look forward to longer runs in them! Love the look too!

This shoes has stellar arch support. It was too much arch support for me. If you like the green Superfeet, I think you will like this shoe. It has a great wide toe box, but for my midfoot it felt a little narrow. The light grey was a lot lighter than it looked online though. It seemed almost white instead of light grey. It was too much arch support for me, so I returned this shoe.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've bought for a long time...maybe ever. They are a little deceiving though. The toe kind of turns up, so at first it feels like they are too small. I usually wear a 9, but the 9's were actually too small. I ordered the 9 1/2 and they feel slightly big. They are also very wide. Which I don't mind. I like my little pigs to be able to spread out. I will probably buy another pair immediately, but as of this writing there was only one color option.

Well, I haven't taken them into rocky terrain yet, but I was standing ankle deep in a puddle yesterday without a drop getting through. When I wear these shoes I feel like I'm "strapped in" and ready to take on anything. These were the 2nd pair of trail shoes I got after returning the Patagonia Drifter A/C Gore-Tex for being too heavy, too bulky, and too high off the ground. The speed lacing system allows for easy in and out. I'm definitely a fan...these are possibly the coolest shoes I've ever owned.

My third pair of Salomons XA Pros. They work well for narrow feet. As usual ordered down a size. Supportive and great for everyday casual and trail use. I do wish they'd reinforce every eyelet and bring back a lighter gray color. This season's colors are all so dark and heavy looking.

Great fitting shoe, excellent grip and stability. The only down side is the extra long laces and the little pocket space in the shoe tongue to store it. I usually actually the Salomon Wings which have shorter laces and a bigger pocket that makes it easier to store the laces.

Logged over 20 miles so far, just completed a warrior dash they were nothing short of amazing. Going to use in tough mudder in September. Just spray and dry, just like new. Solid secure lacing system, excellent grip up and down muddy wet hills. Would buy 1/2 larger crease in toe box seems to rub. Still have many miles to test but great buy! I would buy another pair just for the colors. Super durable so far.

Very good design. Unique traction at the arch. Simultaneously solid and flexible, especially where the toe bends.One of the best weight training shoes out there.Personal notes:I use the shoe with orthotics so my view on arch support is irrelevant.I got 9.5 Mens which fits perfectly. However, my foot measures closer to 8.5 to 9 IRL. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

Nice lightweight little shoe. Wish colors were a bit more neutral. Runs huge. Nice traction on the sole. Ultimatley not enough support for me. I'm going to try the Salomon Techamphibian 3 instead.

I have several pairs of Solomon sneakers. All run about one size larger than I'd usually buy. I really appreciate the lightness of this shoe. The color (purple) is really sharp and I've gotten numerous compliments. I am an avid road runner, but I would not wear these sneakers running because they are too rugged for the street.

I just ran my first 50k in 90 degree heat and lots of elevation. This pack was well worth the money and worked great! I highly recommend it. It takes a bit of time to get used to all of the various straps and adjustments available, so to make it perfect for your body type, definitely test it in training.

I like these shoes. They are stylish and easy to fasten. They are also very supportive. I only gave them 4 stars for comfort because they have a bit too much support for me. I don't need as much arch support as these shoes offer. Still they are great shoes. I walked a 5K in them recently and they performed well.

I had heard so much about these trail runners, so I broke down and bought them. These are very good runners. I've run trails and done some steep hiking with them. Good cushioning, lightweight, and great grip. Will buy again when and if they wear out!

I have had these shoes for a few weeks now and have been pleased with them. They feel lighter than some other Salomons that I have had before and they breathe better than the GTX trail runners. There is a trade off between the breathability and the front mesh letting in a little dirt. My only complaint is that the arches are a little high and stiff. They have eased up a little after about 15 miles on them but they still are not a perfect fit for my feet. Overall I like these shoes. They are also very cool looking.

First pair of Salomon shoes. Quality exceeds my best expectations. Comfortable and perfect fit, true to size. Very, very happy.

Bought these shoes to run trails, they are fantastic! Lightweight and quick to dry they are perfect for muddy hills and trails.

Stop the bus! Riotously conspicuous, anonymity denied, your neighbors will see you from 1/2 mile distance. I use the North Face Women's Ultra 50 for trail running and use the Salomon XR Mission for about town. Comfortable, true to fit (I just scaled down commensurately on size), these sneakers are out-of-the-box fantastic. All pros, no cons, except a side note to commit no transgressions while sporting these kicks; the bobbies will have you locked up in 5 minutes.

This is my first pair of Salomon's since their 'prototype' that they introduced in the late '90s. I returned that pair as the fit was too wide for my foot & the cord laces wouldn't tighten snugly enough as a result. While at a trail race last year, a Salomon rep convinced me that the design has come along way since they, so I gave them a 2nd chance. The fit is much improved & I love the comfort of the integrated tongue or sock fit! Downsides are that there are hot spots and I've blistered, even on short runs. The arch support is also a bit much for me even though I have a high arch. Unfortunately this pair has been relegated to being a flashy pair of street kicks for me.

The product is true to its description. I've been using it on a mix of trails and roads and it has given me good support on both.

Very comfortable good looking shoe, I have had several compliments. One major complaint, the shoe is terribly slippery on wet concrete walkways where I do the majority of my walking and for that I would never buy this shoe again.
