Nice quality, inconsistent fit. Ordered black chevron paisley print and was so happy, it's flattering and fits well, and the fabric is soft, not slimy. Immediately ordered one in solid black thinking it would be as perfect and more versatile, but alas, it was COMPLETELY different fit. The bodice gapped under the arms, it was huge in the bust, and the straps were less tank, more cutaway, which added to the odd gapping. It was so unflattering it was like a completely different dress.I immediately returned it. Don't know if it's because solids are made on different production line, or if solid and print were from two different seasons and they changed the fit. I'm 5'7" and average size 6-8, and the print worked, and if you're busty w/narrow hips the solid black could work for you. Either way, it's really frustrating when manufacturer's do this.

Flattering fit, material moves with you. Took this on vacation and could wear to beach and out to dinner.

I love this dress! I typically wear a M in North Face, but required a S in this dress. There was odd gaping around the underarm area. 5'7" Athletic Build 132 lbs.

I love this dress! I got a medium in honeysuckle pink. The material is so soft and breathable and it's sustainable. The pattern is very good at hiding ketchup stains. The fit is so flattering. Perfect for summer BBQs.

This dress is very comfortable and flattering. The neckline is not too low and the length was perfect for running around after toddlers. I am 5'5" 115 pounds and the XS fit well.

I am obsessed with this dress for summer, it is extremely comfortable and versatile! I also love that it has pockets. I have it in black, and wish it came in more solid colors, as I am not a fan of the patterns.

Gorgeous material, very comfy. Bra straps tend to show in back with conventional bra.

The dress is straight and I have curvy hips so I bought a large. The top kind of gaps and shows my bra underarm. I LOVE the fabric and the length (hard to find this length), so I'm keeping it.

This is a perfect daytime dress. It is a little longer than most (which I like), and the contrasting band around the bodice is slimming. In fact, I think that the contrasting color is more flattering than the other options that have the same print...although I did NOT order one of those prints, so I can't judge from personal experience. But even on the model, I think that the contrasting color looks better. The color is a nice combination of gray and black, so can be easily worn with gray or black, or any neutral color. I have lots of shoes from Zappos to go with this dress;-) I have ordered MANY dresses and tried on a bunch of others in stores, as well often with no success. I was quite happy with the style and fabric content of this dress. I don't wear shorts in the summer, so this is a wonderful alternative. It looks like it will travel easily, as well. And, for the price, you can't go wrong.

It better last, considering the price...but my experience with this brand is that it does. Fits comfortably and it's cute sporty yet flattering. Material is soft and slinky.

5'7" 155 pounds - Large was just a bit too large. Medium is perfect as long as I don't gain a single pound. I need a bra with this one, but there's enough fabric to cover the straps.

This is a comfortable dress. The material is soft, and the fit is flattering. It is true to size. To put it on, it does have to go over the head; the opening at the neckline isn't wide enough to step into it. Overall, it's a nice casual dress.

This one is tough, I'm going back and forth about keeping it. I am keeping the one with the constrasting fabric insert but this one with all the same fabric looks odd. Sadly, I love the colors. I'm trying to think of what I could do to highlight the band, maybe with some kind of trim? Not sure though. I love the length, it is hard to find. Like most Northface stuff, its designed for ladies with no hips, so it is very straight... could use an extra inch or an Aline. I normally wear a medium but I knew better with Northface. The top gaps a bit and shows my bra underarm which probably wouldn't happen with a medium.. but then it would be very tight across the hips
