Love this purse! I wanted to downgrade my current purse because I don’t carry around as much anymore. I love the feel of the leather. This purse holds my makeup case plus my wallet and iPad.it has plenty of room with the extra pockets. The price was also perfect as it was on sale. The Redwood bag does have a tint of red but it looks more brown to me.

I really wanted to love this bag. No doubt, it is absolutely beautiful!! But as others have mentioned, this bag is heavy even when empty. And personally I found the crossbody strap to be too short for my liking. So sad to be sending this back.

I have a couple of these great satchels and most recently I purchased it in CARBON! LOVE IT. The Ice was a tad too light for me. The Carbon is Beautiful! So much nicer in person that the photos look online. Gorgeous!

I love this bag. I had wanted it for several months and it finally went on sale. Yes, it is heavy. I read the previous reviews so I was expecting that. However, the heaviness just adds to the beauty of the bag. I purchased the grey and it’s probably the most beautiful bag I’ve ever had.

This is a lovely purse! I am so pleased with my purchase. It is a little bit roomier than I expected, but it makes finding thing so easy! I do not find it heavy at all. I have room for a small make-up bag, wallet, check book, keys, phone, sunglasses case and more! I love the pockets on the inside and the fact that it zips closed. I haven't used the long strap, as I can carry it over my shoulder or over my arm!

The Melissa satchel is such a beautiful bag. I am impressed with the quality construction and overall look. Easy access to what's inside, zipper works smoothly. It stands up without being too stiff. The crossbody strap is too short for me (5'7", medium/large frame), but I like to grab the handles and just go. It's heavy, but I am not hiking with it.

Overall I love it but was disappointed that the lining is not as pictured. Was expecting cute stripes and got a plain brown lining.

My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift. I am absolutely in love with this purse. It was bigger then I expected it to be and I am so glad that it is. There is plenty of room for all my things with room to spare. I got the dark, brown and the matching wallet. Both are excellent.

Exceptionally well made bag albeit a tad heavy but I will make it work for me. I love it and the color is gorgeous (fern). There could be more inside pockets.

I bought this 3 years ago and I LOVE it, I have other bags but this is my daily carry. I got it in the slate,,,which I thought would be a grayish but it looks sort of brownish. SOOO much room, sometimes I tend to over fill because it carries EVERYTHING then I wonder why it feels so heavy and I clean it out and it's manageable again. It holds a lot but doesn't look like some of the dated "BIG BAGS" that I used to carry. I wish I could have it in every color...GREAT PURCHASE. No trouble with the zipper or handles. Craftsmanship is spot on, no issues after carrying it everyday for 3 years.

This bag is perfect in size and color. Holds everything and is comfortable on both my arm and shoulder.

I have admired this bag on other people for literally years without knowing what it was / who made it. When I discovered it was Frye, I ordered one that night. They had ONE left of this color so I jumped on it (when Zappos says there's one left, there truly is). Sadly, the bag that came was nothing like this color. Instead, it was more like the description of the bag: beige. Had that been the only issue I had, I would have exchanged it for another color. However, this thing is HUGE. I'm five feet tall and under 100 pounds and it looked like I was packing for sleep-away camp. I am really sorry it didn't work out. I DID find another Frye bag I love, however, so all's well that ends well.

This bag is gorgeous. It is very well made and I love everything about it. The size is perfect. It is a heavier bag but for a good quality leather handbag, no more than I would expect.

Umm, there’s no lining. It’s as pictured otherwise but there’s no lining.

This bag is beautiful, roomy, and the leather and quality are excellent. I am returning it though because it is really heavy. I assume it is simply an unfortunate side effect of a large leather bag. Kuddos to Zappos as I was able to order two Frye bags to try both and I'm going with the hobo style -- also beautiful but much lighter.

This is one of the most beautiful bags I've seen and I've shopped a lot for a handbag. The leather is soft and rich looking, it's structured and doesn't flop around, has the option of cross body or shoulder, there is so much to love about this bag. BUT, it is heavy. Sadly, even though this handbag is perfect in every other way, I will have to return it due to the weight. If you can handle the weight of this bag, I highly recommend it. It's beautiful!!

This is by far my favorite style of Frye bag. Redwood was not the color for me. It looked like a washed out pink-brown. The sale price is great if you can get past the color. I couldn't

I was disappointed to find that this bag was damaged. I found what appeared to be an ink mark and also there was a glob of white substance near where one of the straps connects to the bag, almost like it had been washed. The color was very light compared to the picture. It's a great size style. I may order another one.

Had it under 6 months never used the zipper. When I did it separated with just a wallet and phone inside. I can't find anyone to fix it. I have boots and and another purse from frye and they don't last strap broke on the last purse.

I loved this bag. The quality, the color...I had a hard time returning it. It was just too heavy for my weak back.

Gorgeous leather, stylish bag. Not to big not too small. Perfect size.
