Macbeth

Zappos is the best place to buy shoes. Or clothes. Or anything else they sell. I placed an order Saturday afternoon and received the product Monday afternoon. Incredible. The site is perfect, the emails they send always put a smile on my face, and I will never buy shoes from anywhere else. This is what a company should be like. Bravo. The shoe is fantastic as well. Really comfortable, unique, and super fly.

I hate to write a bad review because I love the style, but this is my second pair of Macbeth's that have had the same problem of the sole becoming unglued. Very inconvenient to send back after a month, if they would even exchange them at all, who knows. But the fact that this has happened to two pairs makes me think they have a quality issue.

Purchased these for my teenage son. He had picked out the blue and grey as a backup but ended up loving the blue. Not as purple as appears on screen. This is his 3rd pair of this brand and very happy with them.

My daughter and I picked out these shoes and when she got them the next day she was thrilled. They fit great and she loves the look and feel of them. Would recommend.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. The shoes arrived in a quick amount of time and I wear them all the time now! The price was great and I would tell a friend about them.

Comfortable vegan shoes. They run a little narrow but unlike other shoes, they are able to fit wide feet without causing pain over time. I've used them for short hikes, walks, and bike rides. I would not recommend these for anything more strenuous as they are really just meant to be a basic casual shoe. The gray laces they come with are ridiculously long, and pop way too much until the shoes get a little dirty. Other than that, nice fit, nice style, are my "go to" shoes outside of work.

The Manchester from Macbeth is more along the line of a skate shoe as there is more padding and have a look to them making them seem wider. That being said the are not a very wide shoe like most skate shoes out there like DC or CIRCA they just have that idea to them. There is nice padding inside and on the tongue. They do have a bit of foam padding under the sole though after some wear may need replaced or reinforced. Since there is more padding than usual Macbeth shoes buying half a size up wouldn't hurt. I bought mine at a 9.5 needed a 10 to be comfortable. The width does feel true to size and there is still some give to them being a light material. Again another shoe Macbeth have given good colour variations to if you are creative and want some crazy colours. Little arch support which can be fixed by getting an additional insole. Quite durable and with good comfort around the foot because of the padding.

I loved the Matthew from Macbeth and I have a lot of Macbeth shoes. The material is light with a large bit of rubber around the base of the toe for good durability. The insole has a extra bit of padding foam underneath which is nice though it does wear after a while like most shoes. There is not a lot of cushion on the inside so buy your size as this is one of the only Macbeth shoes I found fit true to size on the first try. One of my favourite features of this shoe is the big of reinforced strip of rubber on the inside of the heel, to fiz the problem with the Eliot. This bit of rubber makes the heel harder which makes the shoe easier to put on and after a lot of wear it's still in tact. Another low profile shoe so there is not much arch support. It is a bit wider than the Eliot though not much but the light material does allow for some give. All in all a great shoe by Macbeth.

The basic Eliot is a low profile and light weight shoe. There are so many colours to choose from which is nice, some crazy colours and some simple colours. The canvas outer is thin but durable, haven't had a rip like I have had in a pair of Converse. The rubber on the toe despite what some others say has not ripped or peeled for me so I think it's a good addition. I have two pairs of 9.5's in the black/cement model and the black/black nylon model. The black/cement feel about half a size small while the black/black nylon feel perfect, so size I feel the Eliot is a hit or miss, though most seem to agree with it. The width is a bit tight but that's the point on this style of shoe, however the light material allows for some give. Not much arch support so buy an insole if you have high arches The biggest issue I had with both was the inside heel cloth material ripping, uncovering the rough rubber and stitching not after too long of wearing them. So when taking the shoes on and off, be gentle to avoid this problem and these shoes will last a while.

The Macbeth Eliot Premium is a step up from the basic Eliot in durability. The shoe is heavier and feel sturdier. That being said it's still a low profile shoe. The Rubber on the toe for extra durability is nice, some say it splits or peels off, I have not had this experience. These shoes aren't made for high arches but an insole can fix that easily. The problem with Premium model is the size. I ordered a pair of 10's which is what I wear in the basic Eliot and it was huge, about a size bigger. After a bit of wear you may want to get an insole for the heel as it wears a bit after a while. Other than that the shoe is a nice smooth leather and quite clean looking.

Big Macbeth fan. The Gatsby shoe itself is very nice to look at, simple and smart looking. The size lengthwise to me fits true to size the width may be a bit narrow feeling but once you get your foot in them, still comfortable. There's a bit of padding inside around the toe makes it a bit tight but really comfortable again. My arches aren't too drastic but it was also one if the first things I noticed about the insole, they are made to support a medium to high arch. So people with low arches may want to replace the sole. If buying the leather model the bending point in the toe will crease so if that bothers you get the waxed canvas model. The only issue about these is that they split at the heel from the sponge sole making them very delicate to remove. Hopefully this gets reinforced and this shoe is one of the best Macbeth have right now.

My son has had 4 pairs of Macbeth shoes. He loves the look and that they're vegan. The big problem is the inside heel fabric is loose and thin so it gets holes after 2-3 weeks.

These shoes are extremely comfortable! I have no problem wearing them for extended periods of time, and the best part is the huge number of compliments I get on them!

I had a love/hate relationship with this shoe. I returned it twice because it has issues with the sole in the heel splitting. Both pairs had this problem. Also, since I have low arches, the padding made the shoe very uncomfortable for me. Great looking shoe. Very uncomfortable, expensive, and shoddy. Never had this problem with Macbeth before.

Love at first step in these awesome shoes from Macbeth! My teenage son was heartbroken to discover only whole sizes available in stores. His cool mom (that's me) was sad for him, so she surfed the 'net and discovered Zappos.com! Thank you, Zappos, for carrying half sizes in these great shoes. Our son's been in them since he opened the box...a very happy musician with Langley on his feet! Rock on...

This was my first Zappos experience and I am now a convert! I ordered these shoes for my son but they were 1/2 size too big. Not only did Zappos pay the shipping both ways, but they sent the replacement pair before I had returned the first pair. The shoes themselves are awesome - my son loves them. It's safe to say that any clothes or shoes - or any item Zappos sells - I will buy from Zappos. How can you beat great prices, free fast shipping, and great customer service. Zappos acts like they really want my business!

I really wanted to like these shoes, as it's very difficult to find comfortable shoes that look good and aren't made of leather. I have a "high instep" which means my feet are fairly meaty on top and I could barely even fit my feet in these shoes. Also, although I liked the way they look, they had kind of a cheapish feel to them. I would definitely recommend ordering a half size larger than you usually wear. As for me, it's back to the drawing board.

Great shoes! These were comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period necessary. They do run a little narrow, but long enough to order you regular size unless you have really wide feet. They look great, they are lightweight, and for the price, I love them! I will buy this brand in the future for sure.

Best shoe I could ever own. Have a collection of them. I wear them for everything, whether skating or working. I'm a roofer and is superior for grip and comfort. Need toddler boy Eliot Vegans.
