Lisa for Donald Pliner Reviews
I love these sandals and have had numerous compliments. I was a little apprehensive about buying them at first but they are so different that they stand out. Subtle but sophisticated.
This is one of those rare times I give a shoe a five star rating although I have to send them back to Zappos. I have an outfit that's right out of Austin Powers that begs for this shoe in the canvas color. This shoe is retro chic at its finest. This shoe is comfy. This shoe is well-made. Unfortunately this shoe just doesn't fit my foot. The opening at the toes is too open to keep my foot in the shoe, and toe overhang is just a fashion don't. Period. I don't think a smaller size would have done the trick. Otherwise, I loved the way the rest of the vamp hugged my average height instep. Length is true to size. Width is true as well.
Works of art for the feet. Pliner shoes run notoriously narrow but the stretchy straps on these make a snug fit workable. Gorgeous beadwork details.
Very, very comfortable shoe and oh so cute! These shoes are quite versatile! I'd wear them dressed up or in jeans, and all day. They are quite eye catching with they're design.
These are so gorgeous and super, super comfortable. They feel like I could walk all day in them. Unfortunately, I purchased 2 sizes as Zappos only had one in each size. Both sizes fit, but I chose the 9 as opposed to the 9 1/2 in case they stretch. However, after trying them on, I noticed a hole on the upper left side of the left shoe. And, unfortunately, Zappos did not have another size 9. Funny thing is, if you look at the Zappos photo, the hole is actually visible. LOL, so they must have used the size 9 for the photo. Go figure LOL! I had planned to inquire as to whether this fish skin material would turn dark around the ankle strap due to oils in my skin, just as any suede or satin shoe would, because the fish skin is not shiny like snake or crock, but rather feels soft and slightly similar to suede. Anyway, I didn't get that far once I discovered the hole.
