I was doing some research on lacquer and shellac polish. As I was researching I came across a blog bragging about Brilliant Due Nailpolish Protector. It stated this top coat was very shiny and kept your polish on until you were ready to remove it. This protector dries in 20 seconds. Of course, I researched and bought a bottle as fast as I could, paying more. That price to me is absolutely too expensive but if it works the way it says it does then it is worth it. I couldn't wait to try it out! I put on my Orly polish and topped it off with my new Brilliant Due. My Brilliant Due indeed dried to the touch in 20 seconds, however it left lines in my polish that later turned into cracks, much like the crackle polish and by day three most of my polish was chipped off the edges. By itself, Orly typically lasts almost a full week on my natural nails and is only rubbed at the edges. Not only did my Brilliant Due Nailpolish Protector not do what it said it does, it made my polish last less than half the time it normally does. This product is a waste of money! I would not even use it on my 8 year old daughter.

I have this in Purple Galaxy/Rain and Silver Galaxy, and they are both beautiful colors. I wish these had raised plastic tip on the cap where the magnet is [like some other brands have], because it is very hard not touch the wet polish with the cap when you're trying to create the effect. This polish chips very easily - even with a top coat, and you really have to wait for the polish to dry almost completely before applying the top coat, otherwise it will smear the lines. Layla claims that you don't need a base coat with their polishes; with Magneffect, this isn't true. The first time I used this polish I didn't use one, & when I removed it a week later, my nails were yellowing in the center. The next time I used the polish, I used a base coat and it didn't diminish the effect of the magnet at all. So, I do recommend that you use a base coat with this polish. Even with the few downfalls, I feel like it's worth trying because the effect is really cool and different looking.

I bought Retro Pink and it is such a pretty color! I also purchased the recommended nail file, and you use that instead of a base coat. I did use a top coat, and it didn't diminish the hologram effect at all. My nails turned out perfectly and look like they were professionally done. I can't wait to purchase more colors - not good for my wallet! :]

I love the glass, wet effect, this is Mr. Top Coat, make my manicure last for 4 week and make my nails harder. This a top coat not a clear nail polish.

Beautiful colors and you can create amazing designs. This polish is totally different from any polish I've ever used. My friends at work love it and so do I.

I'm not really that impressed with this product other than it does give a very nice shine to the nails. However, it seems to be water soluble because it starts to peel off it you wash your hands a lot or do dishes in the sink. Weird.

This is a new look, but very interesting and attractive. Be sure to use a thick coat and give it time to dry. The longer the nail, the more striations show. The final look is much better if you use a clear, shiny top coat. If you are a trend setter, this one is for you!

Purchased for my granddaughter. She loved it! I even tried it and thought it was awesome! Looks just like Tiger's Eye. Wears well.

I love how this nail polish looked and it is easy to use. However, after only wearing it twice the bottle broke and the polish was ruined! I am not sure how it happened as I keep all of my nail polishes in a bucket. I found the broken bottle the next time I went to polish my nails.

This polish is fabulous! It is fun to apply and the polish changes shape as you move your hands. Ladies do not hesitate to purchase!
