Irish Setter Reviews
I have had these boots when they were under the Carhartt badge. They are the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn and the sole is extremely long lasting. I am 6'4", 240 pounds and on my feet all day. The arch support is awesome, there is no need for orthotics. I am so glad that I found these boots again.
These boots are very comfortable. The ankle support does not chafe like other boots do. I love that they are water proof. I like that I can remove the leather flap that the laces go through. I work in agriculture. My Co-workers were impressed and three of them have bought the same boot. They all tell me they love them. You will not be disappointed in buying this boot.

This is my first set of Irish Setter Boots and I will definitely be buying more Irish Setter products and recommending the brand to my friends after wearing these. This is a great pair of boots, they are extremely comfortable right out of the box, and great quality, you do not need to break them in at all. These are definitely some of the best looking pull-on boots that I have owned. They are true to size and width. I have had them over two months and they are holding up great. As always I received great service from Zappos and had the boots at my house the day after I ordered them.

These are comfortable, functional, and have the classic look I like. They're perfectly serviceable hiking boots, if a little heavy. I've worn them tromping around three states in all kinds of weather, and they're great.
This is one of those reviews that I don't want to write. I love these boots, but in all honesty, they don't fit my feet well. The first size I chose was too small and narrow, so I ordered the next size up from my normal. They are too long, but the width is right in the foot bed. Oddly, I've had to pull the laces super tight to get my foot to stay seated in them and not cause blisters. It seems like the sides are too tall so the leather almost touches when I pull the laces tight. I don't have skinny or flat feet or anything like that. Perhaps they will continue to break in, but then they will be even bigger on my foot. This is all a bit hard to explain. My point is that they don't fit me well.Aside from the fit issues, they are excellent. These boots are very well made and heavy duty. I really like the look of them as well, but that's just a bonus since they are workboots. Irish setter has been making boots forever and it shows. If I move up North one day and have to wear heavy socks, I bet these boots will fit great and I'll give them 5 stars. For now, they get a 4 from me. If you have a fit problem, I would advise sticking with the slightly tighter fit since the leather will loosen up. In hindsight, I wish I had stuck with the smaller size.

A nice, big, clunky outdoor/work shoe, just what I was looking for, for winter vineyard/ranch work. Size ten fits snugly with thick socks (for 9.5-10ish foot). Seemed waterproof in wet grass and moderate muck, but have not tested in ankle-deep water. Only complaint is the arch. It feels like there's a piece of 1x2 down there; just this rectangular chunk. Needs some breaking in.

Very nice shoes, good soles don't pick up rocks and are very comfortable...or so says my husband.
I've had other Trail Blazers in the past but this model is made from a stiffer leather then the last pair I had. I had to return for a half size up. I'm still breaking them in but am quite happy with the fit so far. The tred is great on threes at first but will only last me about 6 months of daily use.

This is a lightweight, top quality boot. I wear a 9.5 D shoe and this same size boot in spot on - no break-in needed...super comfortable! I thought the 1000 gram insulation would be too much, but after wearing the boot for a several weeks, I can say that my feet don't overheat, and the boots are not clumsy feeling at all. This boot isn't that much thicker than a non-insulated boot (it's more like plush padding). Even in the medium width, regular wool socks can be used. However, using the polypropylene socks, my feet stay dry and cool. This boot breathes nicely and is truly 100% waterproof. Cinching up the laces couldn't be easier - smooth, snug and even distribution of lace pressure. I feel like I can jog in these. By far, the best boot I have ever worn in 47 years of wearing boots. If these boots hold up for at least a few seasons, I will be a life long customer of Irish setter boots. The boot to end all boots.
This boot is good in quality and construction; however, they missed in designing where the tongue meets the boot towards the toe. As the first two sets of eyelets are spaced too far apart, the boot gaps badly over the tongue providing a large area for dirt, rocks, or debris to gather.
I ordered these for my husband and is he pleased! He's quite picky about what shoes he'll wear -- both for style and comfort. These have been a winner on both counts.
These are great shoes, at a great price, and Zappos provided awesome services. Now I am stylish in the pastures.

Not sure why these haven't been reviewed yet, but these boots are really nice. They feel and look great. I do not need these for work, I just thought they were cool for everyday wear, and they are. No silly artificial aging or purposeless buckles, these are the real deal and look great with a pair of jeans. No need to round up on size, they are true to size. I usually wear a 10 and sometimes a 9.5. I ordered these in the 10 and had to return them and get the 9.5.
I have been in the Construction field for 25 years. I have purchased boots of every kind. I put these boots on out of the box and they are awesome. No break in time needed. Feet feel great after a long day. They wear well to the harsh environment of the job-site. Clean up fast and easy with damp rag and hit them with some boot oil once in a while. 5 stars out of 5.
High quality construction with a nice grade of durable, scuff resistant, waterproof leather. The boot is warm, dry and comfortable. The only downside is that the break in period is a bit longer than I would have liked. Very stiff and unforgiving to start.Plan on easing yourself into full use with this boot. Took me about 2 weeks to get them broken in the way they should be. Once they are broken in though they are a wonderful, durable pair of boots. Love em!! 4 stars due to the break in period.
Good boot. Very nice well made. Added a Birkenstock footbed to it for my arch support.

I love these boots. They are comfortable and I got them shipped quicker than I thought.
Great boots! Super comfortable, Great Price! The Exoflex is the best part and helps tremendously getting boots on and off! The camo is very nice and they are a pleasure to walk in. Will be buying another pair for a backup I like them that much. I will report back about how they hold up after a year or so, By the design and how they are built i would say a very long time.
I haven't worn these much yet but so far, they are good. The heel and ball support are excellent and the quality is as good expected.
This was a great purchase when husband needed to replace his now too small pair of boots. It seems the feet get bigger through the years....
