inov-8

Finally! I must have ordered 10 pairs of shoes from Zappos over the past month and returned every pair. I've been looking for a minimalist...a shoe that I can use for Crossfit, but also a shoe that had enough comfort to be worn regularly day-to-day. I tried NB's, Nikes, Vivobarefoot's, but every shoe that arrived was either too minimal or just odd looking. Today the inov-8's arrived and I couldn't be happier with these shoes. I ordered another pair months back 195's, but the weren't cutting it. These look good, have great support, are stylish and will work perfectly for crossfit / lifting. They're flat, but have enough padding to comfort the foot. Great shoe...highly recommended. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and they fit perfectly.

I love these shoes! This is my 3rd pair of the 195's. I am a CFitter and I have tried other Inov8's and these are by far my favorites!!! The only thing that bothers me are the shoes laces never stay tied, so I wish they could do something different to make them stay tied.

I am very happy with these and cannot wait to wear them to tomorrow's WOD. They are much better than the Reebok Nano I ordered from Reebok and sent back the same day. These shoes look good, are well made, and connect me firmly to the floor. They are very light and flat. They do feel a bit narrow, but I have got narrow-ish feet. Score!

These are awesome. They are perfect for crossfit. They are light, flat and sticky. I wear a size 10 womens shoe (42 Euro) and needed a 8 in these. The 8½ was too big. I have not climbed a rope in them yet so I do not know how they hold up. As always Zappos was great with fast delivery!

Dislikes...there is no arch support, pretty much a flat shoe. I added Doc Scholls insoles. Likes...super light weight, very flexible, the toe texture keeps your toes dry when running on moist terrain. Overall...good working/looking running shoes. I wear a 9.5 ordered a 10. The price is just right...I recommend this shoe.

I bought these based on word of mouth reviews from my peers who for the most part, do mostly cross fit and running. I'm comparing them to the Vibram Komodos as those were my primary workout shoe before I got these. Overall I like the way they feel for a shoe but they are nothing like the vibrams nor will they be a true replacement if you're wanting a minimalist approach. These are very much a shoe and as such, feel much larger and bulkier than any of the vibrams. With the vibrams, you often forget that you're wearing them (at least I do) but with these, you know there's a shoe on your feet. I would honestly say to try the vibrams first if you haven't already. These look more "normal" but for training and minimalist running, I give the nod to the vibrams and will be using them instead of these on my lower body training days and will use the inov-8's on my upper body days just so I don't feel like I wasted the money. For a shoe, they're great but they can't touch the vibrams in my opinion. I would honestly rate them a lot higher if I hadn't worn vibrams yet but since they seem to be targeting the vibram market, they fall short of the mark. Also, they feel a tad narrow in the middle of the shoe but it sort of stretches a bit to accommodate so it's not uncomfortable.

These shoes were so comfortable. They provided great ankle support. My only problem was that the shoe did not have enough cushion in the sole, I was concerned that I would not be comfortable after all day wear so I returned the shoes. I loved the look of the shoes too.

Saw these boots on the Today Show; I needed boots for hiking that would also be good for casual wear. Boots look great, very comfortable from the first wearing. Lots of room for thicker socks in winter. Shoe size - usually wear 8 1/2 or 9 - ordered 8 1/2 - fit is great.

The shoe is very lightweight with a fairly thin sole keeping your feet closer to the ground. I've got flat and wide feet, and the shoes work pretty well for that. There's not an uncomfortable arch. Only thing is, it seems to be really pointy at the toe section. I got a half size larger, and I'd say the width fits pretty well, although it is pretty long.

These are the best running shoes I have found. I had inov-8 before and then bought the new balance WT20. The new balances were good but the inov-8 are better so these replaced my new balnances.

Great tread. Perfect for trail running as well as road running.

Great Shoe. I have low arches, this shoe is perfect because it does not force an arch. Lots of room in the toe box allows toes to spread out.

Great shoes. Light and flexible. You can feel the surface your running on. Well built. A strong chemical smell when you get them new, fades away in week.

Great shoe! I get stopped at the gym every other day about them because they're such a show stopper. I feel very stable in these when I lifting weights compared to other shoes I've worn. These are flat shoes, no arch support which is great for barefoot style running. The soles are very sticky, comparable to rock climbing shoes which is also a plus for when you're trying to move heavy weight. It can take all the abuse from any Crossfit WOD I've thrown at it. Minor concern regarding the toe, it seems to be wearing a little bit. A lot of people have complained about size. I wear an 8 in Adidas Sambas and went with an 8 and an 8.5 for the Inov-8's. The 8.5's were too large and the 8's are great with socks. If I go barefoot they're a half size too big for me.

I am wide across the toes and shoes felt snug there before easing. Fine now. Also, I have narrow arch; the shoe laces up for great support (and holds against slipping forward). Wanted a black comfort travel shoe for wear with conservative-leaning jeans and sport coat, but would also work for a hike or run when opportunity presented. Very secure over rougher terrain. "Black" is the challenge -- didn't want any color -- even on sole. Sole is grippy and not likely to wear very long, but that's an okay tradeoff for what feels like wearing a heavy sock.

These have been the best pair of athletic shoes I've owned. My previous shoes were Nike Free's, and after thinking those were comfortable, these shoes surpass them. They're very minimalist in design, but have proven to be extremely comfortable.

Highly recommend Inov8 230's. This is my second pair. They fit and feel like a glove. Perfect shoe for Crossfit.

These are great! They're very light wear like I'm barefoot. If you need cushion for running, they're not the choice.

I loved these shoes right away. I bought them a couple weeks before going on a hiking trip. I wore them on walks with my dog several times before the trip and they fit great right away. By the time my trip came up last weekend I was very pleased. I spent a weekend hiking fairly rough terrain and kept up with everyone in their more advanced and expensive hiking shoes. I even got several comments that my shoes looked much better than theirs. All in all, love these shoes. Comfortable from the beginning and airy enough for even hot days out hiking or just walking with the dog. Definitely would recommend.

Wow! The reviews were right! These sneaks are amazing! Feel great on my feet, look stylish and are very lightweight. This is a must buy. Well, worth the price. For me it was perfect for the front section of my food but, the arch/heel area was a bit narrow. I'm going to return for next half size up. If you have narrow feet, it's a great shoe for you.
