Garmont Reviews
All my purchasing experiences with Zappos have been perfect! The latest Garmont Zenith Mid GTX hiking boots I bought are looking & feeling great to wear. Bravo to the Zappos' Team.
I love these shoes. The first day I wore them, I started getting compliments. They look great with jeans and unlike most hiking shoes these are comfortable.
Landscaper work wear everyday. Best shoe yet! I use orthodic inserts equals I will keep buying this brand. Excellent. Con: The last lace loop (canvas) seems to be wearing a little, may break.
I love these shoes! I actually bought them for work and they rock. I do a lot of walking on all kinds of terrain. I have had problems with planter fascia last year and they had still been giving me problems this year. Since I've been wearing the Garmont Sticky Boulders my feet feel so much better. Yes, I will be buying another pair when these wear out.
I have been using Garmont Eclipse III XCRs for over 8 years and find them to be the most comfortable walking shoe around. How disappointed I was when I discovered that my local retailer was no longer carrying them. But to my surprise I found them at Zappos and was delighted. I was also pleased with the speed and efficiency of Zappos' delivery.
Water resistant for a little while, but certainly not waterproof. My feet got wet walking through wet grass in these. Excellent arch support but, overall, not very comfortable for all-day walking.
I love the fit of these shoes right out of the box. They have the nice slim, glove-like fit that I've come to know and love from Garmont. I'm psyched.
The boots are really cute but I should have ordered a 10. I ordered a 9.5.My bad.other than that they are very comfortable but a bit short, again a 1/2 size larger would have been great.
I really liked these shoes and would have loved to keep them but I agree with other reviews that they press down on the toes. Other than that they were just what I was looking for.
I can wear a shoe from 13 to 15 med width to ee, got these in a 14 med and they fit perfect, thinking that this is one of the first times that has ever happened. The shoe overall seems very sturdy and will definitely hold up to the variety of tasks that I will be demanding from them - like getting groceries to the weekend trail hikes and bike rides to the honey do list around the house.
This is an extremely well-made shoe. It has a slightly larger and roomier toe box shape than the Garmont Sticky Boulder. I normally wear a size 12 D, but I had an earlier experience with the Garmont Sticky Boulder in which I started with a 12.5 D and ended up having to go to a size 13. Turns out, the sizing issue is the same for me with the Dragontail Lite, as the 13 fits nearly perfect. Even at that, I used a shoe stretcher to re-size the left shoe, as this is my larger foot. Approach-style shoes with lacing all the way to the toe are designed to fit snugly for better performance. The snug fit accentuates slight fit adjustment issues (not a complaint, just an observation).
This was the only shoe I could find with a 12 1/2 . I have hiked with this shoe for a month now and am totally satisfied.
Surprisingly, these run small and the toe box is unusually narrow. Normally, I where a 9 boot but these shoes, my toe nearly touches the end and the top. Odd..for a Garmont. Seems well made at least.
Great shoe. Using as general sneaker. Usually need orthotic for arch - but don't need for this shoe. True to size. Maybe runs little narrow. Wish made shoes for the office.
I wanted something with a longer lasting sole than my Brooks Adrenalines for trailrunning, these Garmonts would be the perfect shoe if there were arch support and built for the over pronator, which they are not, so I am returning them. I also found that after wearing them only an hour that my feet were pretty warm (it was 67 degrees, in Jan) so I don't think these would work for spring hikes in Phoenix or up North in Sedona.

Really comfortable out of the box, the vibram soles are really sticky and have great grip. I have flat feet so to much arch support really kills my feet, but these shoes are just perfect, not to much arch support and not too little. great boots for serious day hikers.
I had the same problem with the comfort. Everything is perfect about these shoes but there was something in the closure that just killed after a period of time.
These Garmont boots are a great buy! They are comfortable and well made. The materials and stitching is high quality. The laces are very nice and long enough for a wrap around just right. I Highly recommend them. Thanks Zappos!
