I'm 68 and my feet started to hurt, the bottoms and outsides so I tried wearing high end New Balance thick soled spongy runners but didn't help then I remembered CLARKE WALLABIES from 40 years ago how back then they were revolutionary shaped like your foot and soft buttery thick durable suede with that thick spongy but firm crepe sole! My feet no longer hurt and I realized that the exaggerated arch of the running shoes were hurting my feet while the Clarke has a very gentle mild natural arch. I like the sporty preppy look too. I love them so much I bought a black suede high top in black for the winter and now the low sand suede for summer, as the other reviews mention along time ago they were imported from Ireland but they were heavier and the chinese manufacturers ones have vastly improved on making them lighter and truer to size price wise the shoe stores want over $200 so ZAPPOS bargain price I paid of $120 with the free shipping was a wonderful bargain and as always with ZAPPOS I received them in 3 days
Initially it was comfortable to slip on. However, the right corner of the shoe was poking into my right pinky toe which became uncomfortable to walk.
I absolutely LOVE these shoes. They are fairly narrow but I knew this prior to ordering. Comfortable. Stylish. Fun and they look great with jeans and casual pants.
I wear a size 7 Wide. I like the shoes and the simplicity of the design on the front. I have a bone spur on the base of my right toe so it does cut slightly into the bone spur; however, since they are leather I know they will stretch so I will probably be keeping them since the left foot fits like a glove. I just need to stretch the right slightly and one I do so, I'm sure it will be perfect. Lightweight with a perfect size heel, I would definitely recommend this product.
Feels like it could be really comfortable but runs a .5 size large so I'll have to return. The leather is very soft and I feel it wouldn't dg into my first toes joint like so many peeps toes do. The gold is a nice subdued gold that would go with everything. Bought them to go with a navy dress.
Comfy espadrille type slip on. I need something for a wedding on Cape Cod followed by a clambake. Instructions are "dress for a summer clambake" - what the heck does that mean lol? I'm guessing dressy casual. I got the silver ones because I already own a silver purse and both go with my dress . They are cute and feel good. I'm still a bit up in the air about the dress code for the wedding, but I will know soon! Clarks almost always accommodate my massively long toes.
The seam that is near the top of the shoe hits my foot and rubs so back they go. Plus they are a bit too heavy for summer.
Clark's Medora Elie is a very comfortable, cute mary jane flat. Goes with dresses as well as slacks. Was able to walk considerable distances right out of the box - no break-in time. Liked the black so much I came back for the red. Try it, you'll like it.
I really had high hopes for this shoe since Clark's are usually very comfortable. These shoes had no arch support or padding for the ball of your foot. Since there is no platform or rise in the foot bed area the absence of cushioning is very problematic and noticeable. I really wish I could return them because I can't wear them but since they were worn outside that's not an option.
Great shoe - a little sparkle but not over the top. Just way too big. Normally a size 6.5 wide or medium depending on show. 6.5 W felt a half size too big. Foot was coming out of the shoe. Returning for a 6W which I really hope fits bc they are super cute.
