I have been wearing these shoes for over a year now, and will definitely be buying a new pair when I need them. I bought a pair of Vans at the same time, which wore out after a few months due to bad quality. The van sole caved in after a few months. I commute to work everyday about ten miles round trip. The shoe gives extra support, to help transfer power to the peddle. Some people are complaining about the shoe being too stiff. If you ride a bike, this is what you want. I do not find the shoe to be uncomfortable when off the bike, quite the opposite. They are extremely comfortable, and have lasted longer than any other sneaker I have owned. I hope they continue with this quality.
Originally, I rated these shoes highly, but have to change because after a few weeks of owning them, the band above the soles began to tear. Now the black band with the red stripe just flops around my heels. I am the kind of person who can wear the same shoes for 3-5 years with little wear and tear. These are not this price quality to me.
This is a perfect commuter bag. I don't ride bikes and I wanted to get one that would replace my Timbuk2. The quality difference was instantly noticeable. Worth the extra price.
Super comfortable and they look like normal shoes. So, it's not weird when I walk around school all day in them. The only problem I have with these, are the shoelaces. They get caught in my chain because there isn't a very practical restraint. I have resorted to tucking them into the elastic band underneath the laces which is sufficient.
Bought the Chromes for the obvious reason and absolutely love them. Great on my bike and the SPD system works as well as my old road bike shoes. Comfortable to walk in and out of work and around in on errands. Don't think I could ever just wear them for a full day of walking about, because the platform for the SPD is so rigid. Great stylish shoe, but it takes awhile to break in and I would probably get a half size smaller next time (while breaking them in, they tended to ride up and down my heel until I could lace them tighter after the canvas gave a bit). Anyway, great shoes and I'd buy them again!
The best part of these shoes is that I can commute in them and not feel like I have a pair of bike shoes on when I get off the bike. The shoes fit is not the best, even in a size smaller I still have a lot of heal slip, which can be a bit of a problem if you ride a track bike and your only means of braking is skidding. These shoes will still make a bit of noise when walking on concrete, like most bike shoes, but not as bad as a normal pair. The stiffness in the shank is great when riding but not the best for walking. Overall these are the most functional and visually appealing bike shoe for everyday commuting or casual riding.
Good stuff! Cycled to the beach and walked across some berms, even a jetty made of giant rocks. Great if you're taking a short ride to a chill destination. They look like normal shoes but definitely don't feel like sneakers after a few hours. Can't wear them all day at work, and they get hot-spots if I ride over 50 miles. Perfect for the commute or a ride to a bar/show. I ordered 1/2 size smaller but they still feel snug. Wear and tear is at a minimum after 8 months of daily usage. Can't say the same about my CrankBros cleats, they are a bit worn from the occasional contact to the 'crete. Love them, but still have extra shoes at work and am looking for carbon shoes for the long rides.
Real nice bag. Heavy duty. iPad slips in front pocket, sleeve and all. May be a little on the small side, no real give to it. The logo on the strap seems upside-down to me, but maybe I am wearing it wrong.
Normally I wear 10½ or 11, depending on the shoes, so I ordered 10½. They felt way too loose especially considering they are slip-ons designed for cycling. Pulling a heel out while pushing a fixed gear at high speed would not be fun. So I sent them back for a size 10, no big deal. At first they were a bit tight but as they have broken in they have gotten more comfortable. They are OK as walking shoes but a little clunky due to the reinforced soles. From about the arch- back, the soles are literally solid. But that is not what these are made for. These things really come into their element when you jump on your bike. I have never felt more connected to flat pedals than with these shoes. The grip is incredible. I have had them about a month now and they are holding up well so far. I have already recommended these to friends.
I was looking for a shoe for when I ride my bike, I don't like the clips and cleats, I use the toe straps. The shoes have a stiff sole that makes pedaling more efficient, just what I wanted, but like others have said, this shoe is not comfortable for wearing all day and walking around. I'm still waiting to break them in more, maybe that will make them more comfortable. They are nice looking and they do the limited job of being a great shoe for bikeriding, I just wish that they were more comfortable.
I have gotten tons of compliments on these shoes (mostly from men). They are really comfortable and I think they are just fine for walking or riding my bike. I have had them about a month so I cannot say how long they will last, but I hope for a long time.
Very cute bag, but it really is too small for a 13 inch Mac, which is what I got it for. Would work great for an air or an iPad, though!
For now, I can't say that I've liked these shoes. It seemed like a good idea, and I can't find anybody else who is making a shoe that bridges the gap between clipples peddals and toe clips, but the execution is lacking for this product. As others have said, this shoe is quite uncomfortable to walk in, to the point that I'd worry about doing permanent damage to my feet and legs if I wore them for too long. On top of that, the fabric of the shoe itself is rather flexible, which allows your foot to move around a fair bit when riding, destroying any advantage you get from the rigid sole. My disclaimer, however, is that my foot is rather low, so I might be able to get a better fit with some extra arch support and tounge padding. However, as this shoe will only really be useful for long rides and not for everyday life, I can't say that I'm jumping to get them working perfectly.
For work, I have to carry a 15" laptop, notebook and student lab books along with daily incidentals, and still have room. Most everything fits in the zip around compartment, with my newspaper, graded papers in the middle slip pocket and wallet pens in the front pocket. Add that my gear survived my commute in a downpour just adds to my love of this pack. Definitely a good buy.
These are really nice shoes. They have a great styling, and are very sturdy. They will last a long time and look good. One minor disappointment, the inner lining behind my heel has a hole worn through after only two months. That was not a huge deal, but I would have expected it to last longer as these are otherwise very well made shoes.
This bag is awesome! Clearly the best bag I've owned. I walk everywhere and this bag has actually helped my back. It looks stylish and I get a lot of comments on it and people wanting to know where I bought it. 5 out 5 on all stars baby!
Great looking shoes, high quality construction and materials. Run a little big (I am usually between an 11.5 and 12, and these fit me perfectly in a size 11).
Buy a half to a full size down and prepare to make some sacrifices if you want a sneaker for clipless riding. Having a shoe that is also a fairly comfortable sneaker is a bonus. Yes, there is a little clicking but not bad for a riding shoe. Stiff enough for support but flexible enough to still feel like a sneaker. As many people have said on many sites, the heel slip is a definite negative. I do not notice while I am riding. The main issue is this: to get the best fit possible for the heel, I ordered a whole size down (after trying a half). The toe cap is stiff enough that now I get pretty bad toe bang. Maybe try the Midway Pro first? All this being said, I do not know of anything else out there that is not hideous and/or impractical for a biking/walking use and I wear mine almost every day for errands. As always, Zapppos is great!
This is a pretty good bag. It's definitely heavy duty and waterproof. It actually doesn't quite fit as much as I would have hope. There are quite a few compartments and having something in one compartment definitely reduces what you can fit into others. Getting things in and out of the bag can be a little cumbersome. Also a waist strap with some pockets would be nice. Overall though this is a great bag that does have decent holding capacity and is durable and waterproof.

Great bag! High quality construction, sharp styling, all around awesome! I have wanted this bag for a long time and wasn't sure if it was worth the higher price, but it totally is. Don't hesitate, and just buy it if you have always wanted it. You won't be disappointed.
