Stride Rite

Stride Rite Logo
Built for childhood!

Stride Rite® takes its inspiration from a child's out-of-this-world imagination and the challenges of parenting. With an eye for innovative, expert-approved designs and on-trend styles, Stride Rite crafts each colorful sneaker and kid-friendly sandal with the understanding that every parents' greatest desire is to provide their kids with the best.

100 years and counting… Time to celebrate!

From humble beginnings in a converted stable in Boston, MA. 1919, to becoming acknowledged internationally for pioneering innovative styles, Stride Rite has never compromised their goal of providing millions of little ones with the support and stability they need for every developmental stage.

Stride Rite may have grown older and larger, but they're still built for childhood and haven't grown up.

Life's waiting. Let's go!
Stride Rite® has partnered with Zappos Adaptive to take part in the Single and Different Size Shoe Test. This test program allows the customer to purchase a single shoe or two of the same shoe in different sizes or widths. Now parents whose who need to fit their shoes around an orthotic or an AFO device, have two different size feet, or those that only need one shoe will no longer have to pay a premium for their footwear.

The sandal seemed mostly true to size. My toddler wears a 6.5W in a Stride Rite tennis shoe. We had to return because although the width was good for her wider feet, the top pinched her foot when strapping it closed. Not a good shoe for truly chubby feet.

My daughter has xwide feet and loves to be super cute, these check both boxes. Both straps adjust and it makes a perfect sandal for your cutie.

These shoes were cute but started falling apart a month after wearing them. The material at the toes started to come up on both feet. I’ve never had issues with stride ride shoes but I suspect it’s because of the material they have made from. Just a month later I had to replace these .

My 2 year old son wore these for exactly 1 month and they now have holes in the front. The rubber on the toe started to wear down almost immediately. Stride rite quality seems to have gone downhill or maybe they are just overrated. My son’s new balance sneakers lasted until he outgrew them (several months).

The soles are a little stiffer than I expected and my 13mo (new walker) is having a bit of a hard time navigating in them. Super cute and durable though, maybe great for outdoor play on grass dirt or gravel

We have worn these less than 5 times and they look like they need to be thrown away. We even sprayed shoe protector spray on them. They’re so dirty and do NOT wash up well. Would definitely not waste my money again.

My son wears these every day and they’ve held up well. He has other shoes but always picks these. Ordering in next size as he’s outgrown before wearing them out which is somewhat of a miracle considering how active he is!

This was an XW shoe and my child thought it felt tight to her foot. I got the adaptive shoe because it was the only one that came in XW. The bottom was very stiff and not flexible enough for my preference and we went with a different brand of shoe that we also got in the same order.

I'm a small person who wears size 2 or some times a size 2.5 (for thicker socks) in youth/ little kid shoes. These shoes seem to be almost a size too small. They also seemed not to be as good of quality as you would expect for Stride Rite. It's been a while, but I remember Stride Rite as being better quality.

Looked nice out of the box. Surprisingly narrow toe box which I didn’t expect from a stride right shoe. The shoe fabric pulled away from the sole (the full front half after six months of wear. Generally expect sneakers to wear longer than that.
