Bostonian Reviews
I love the shoe for its looks, and can do without the imperfects in construction and comfort. When the shoes arrived I noticed cuts/scuffs on the sole when I unpacked them. In one shoe I feel like something is in the left heel.
Great fit and Zappos provided great service. After trying, and returning two pairs of other branded shoes that were too big Zappos continued working with me until I found a pair that fit. Thanks!
My husband loves this loafer. Wore it new on a cruise and he was so comfortable. Soft leather, very nice!
Great shoe! Quality leather, but doesn't run true to size. I ordinarily wear a 10.5, and thought because it was a slip-on, a 10 would be good. Wrong! Way too big! Buy this shoe, but know it runs way big. I'm going to return it, and get a 9. I don't think I've worn a 9 size 3rd grade, crazy! Love you Zappos!
First time user pleasantly surprised delivered as promised, at a competitive price. I will use them again
This shoe features a padded interior and soft, supple, leather exterior. The fit is great and has become one of my favorite shoes to wear.
The shoes are great. I'm on my feet all day working with patients and these shoes never both my feet.
Runs a bit on the small side. I expect that's just the new shoe feel and it'll go away as I wear them in.
My Mendons have been super comfortable, extraordinarily light. I tend to get rub spots, but never went through that with these shoes. On the other hand, the soles only survived 10 months of wear. Granted I wore them almost every day as a work shoe, and often as a dressier casual shoe, but at this point the soles have gone spongy. And when I say spongy, I mean that one of the soles has literally started absorbing water, leaving distinct shoe-shaped footprints on tile and carpet for 20-30 paces. Wish I could find something equivalent, but 30% more durable.
I had to go to a wedding under a tight budget, I needed a good pair of dressing shoes. I had heard about Zappos already. The first shoe that call my attention was the Bostonian Andover, very glossy, good appearance, and above all into my budget. Thank so much Zappos.com.
My husband is incredibly picky about his shoes. He doesn't like most for comfort reasons, but this is the only dress shoe he will wear and has worn for the last 10 years since before this was the Tuscana when it was the Strada.
Slightly disappointed with Bostonian on this one. Usually a solid product, but a couple weeks in, the material liner on the inside sole began to unpeel and I was unable to get it unraveled and glued back in properly, making things a bit uncomfortable. I expected better quality for this being one of the more expensive models. Overall, comfortable though.
This was my first time to order and I was skeptical, so the return policy was important. The shoes arrived quickly, and fit fine. I was not sure on size to order (based on shoes bought in store), and perhaps ordered 1/2 size too large, but they are acceptable. I could not be more pleased.
Put them on and stood up. The 9.5 XW was easily a full inch too long for me. Very comfortable just standing. Have an exchange pair on the way size 8.5 XW. We shall see how they do.
Let me start by saying, I've never written a review on shoes before. However, after all the trouble I've been having and I had to write a review about a pair of shoes that finally put a smile on my face. I started a new job and for some reason, I could not find shoes that fit just right. At my old job I was allowed to wear dress casual, and I never had problems finding dressy shoes that looked comfortable. Now I wear a suit and need dress shoes but still demand the comfort. I tried a bunch of different brand names and none of them worked. Many of them were too tight or they have the long pointy look these days. I like traditional styles --- long and behold and I found the Bostonian Mendon. This is actually the first day I'm wearing them and I just had to write a review. Not only are they dressy enough for a suit but they also have full rubber bottoms (which I've always been a big fan of). Rubber bottoms help with the rain, and give an overall spring to your step. Next, the entire shoe conforms to your foot from the second you put them on. The Flex lite insole is like a soft trampoline. The shoe is extremely light and soft all over. This is the lightest, most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet. You don't realize how heavy some shoes are. I think I just become a Bostonian fan. Thanks Zappos!
I liked the Bostonian right from the box. A little snug at first but they form to your feet after a few uses. Great for getting through TSA lines with less hassle.
I have been loyal to the Bostonian brand for some time now due to the high quality shoes they make to fit my large, wide feet. Not only are these shoes comfortable and stylish they are also high quality. The leather on every pair I have ever owned has withstood the rain, sleet, snow and summer heat without issue. I am usually replacing/patching the sole before the shoes show any sign of wear.

Men trust Bostonian to give them the confidence they need. Whetherit's finishing off an everyday suit in style or going out on the town, men of all ages find what they're looking for at Bostonian.
