I only have been wearing for one day but they are the best yet of the shoes I have tried. Toe box is nice and roomy and the shoe is very comfortable. Very high quality in appearence and materials used

This shoe felt sturdy, and the top ankle part did not irritate my shins or calf at all. However, even with my custom orthotics- it felt like the insole was tilting my foot so that all my weight was on the inner ball of my foot. (It was worse without my orthotics) My bunion joints were achy the next day and I did not even wear these except in the house to walk around with thick socks. Maybe it is the vibram sole that does this? Anyway, I could tell it was a quality shoe- it just was not for me. It did give me hope that I can wear ankle high boots, you just have to find the right brand that hits your shin and calf at the right angle and height, otherwise it is fighting against your leg.

Bought these for a trip to Ireland after many years of wearing hiking boots. They are wonderful. Sturdy, comfortable, wide toe box, and good lateral support. I usually wear a 6.5 but I ordered up a full size after trying on the smaller ones. I have plantar fibromatosis (growths on my arches) and high arch support is not comfortable for me. These do not have high arch support, and I walked miles over some beautiful rugged terrain in them. I look forward to many years of comfort from them!

I love this shoe. It's very difficult for me to find a comfortable shoe because my heel is narrow and my forefoot is wide; I have a high instep & practically zero arch. Surprisingly I do a lot of walking. These Vasques have become my everyday shoe. About every six months I buy a new pair. Other people wear tennis shoes, I wear these. They prevent my plantar fasciitis from hurting as much as if I wear other shoes. I wish they made a sandal version ð???

I was looking for a shoe for light hiking, and this had all the features I wanted, including good tread on a vibram sole. However, the heel is a bit too high for me and started rubbing my ankle immediately. For women with thinner ankles, this is probably not a problem, and the higher profile would provide more support. But I did better with another Vasque style that was a full 3/4 inch lower in the back.

Loved these shoes, looked great, fit great EXCEPT, the tongue cut into the front of my ankle. Why is it so short? No idea if this will wear in, and since the most important part of these shoes is comfort, back they went. I'm a slim, 53 year old, my ankles are not big, btw.

There are no shoes like Vasque for stable walking on rough terrain. So when I scheduled a vacation with some moderate hiking thrown in, I went to Vasque selections. I chose this one. Based on other reviewers, I ordered my usual size rather than go up a half or full size which I often do with Vasque. Perfect fit with some moderately thick Thorlo socks. Perfect fit!

Really liked the look, really hated the fit. Not wide at all! just tight and uncomfortable.

Great boots - all around. Wish they had fit better - would have kept. Toe box was more narrow than I expected, and there was much less cushioning in the sole/insole than I expected as well.

These boots worked well right out of the box; no breaking in time. Vasque boots have a last that works well for me in general; these boots were no exception. They give good support on the ankle and under the arch; there was room for my orthotics, always important for me. I note that on steep climbs, going downhill may be a problem for some in the toe box, but I had none, and am glad for the combination of style, support, suppleness and waterproofing. I take a 7.5-8 in street shoes, and ordered an 8.5 in these boots. I have a narrow foot, but chose the medium width to make sure the toe box would be big enough (it was), and because I needed to fit in the orthotics.

Theses run really small, normally my husband is around a 11-5, after several tries he ended up with a size 13-I've never bought that big before. Shoe is great and wanted this company, as I've bought 3 pairs of the same model boots over the course of 20 years. He injured his back recently and wanted to have him in a shoe other then his go to boots when in pain.

I really wanted to like these shoes since they've got everything I was looking for in a summer hiking boot- breathability, lightweight, great sole for traction, and hey, they look pretty snazzy in person (anthracite/comumbia). There were 2 problems with the shoe however- one was that despite ordering a half size up to accommodate for thicker hiking socks, it felt like it was barely a size 10 even with thinner socks. My feel swell a bit after a serious hike, so it's important for me to have some room, which these did not provide. The other issue was the tongue of the shoe- it dug into the front of my foot big time, even without using the farthest "lace lock" lace. I'm not sure if I got a shoe that just had a shorter tongue, or if that's the way they are, but it was the kicker for me and reason enough not to try and get an 11 to solve the sizing issue. Bit of a bummer!

Bought for a Philmont Trek. Very comfortable, fast if any break on period. Only complaint it the shank is pretty soft, can feel a lot of rocks under foot. Had to buy a half size bigger.

I wear these boots almost every day working on a ranch and vineyards, so encounter a variety of conditions. They are sturdy enough, but fairly light and ventilated, so good in hot weather, as well as being waterproof in shallow streams and puddles. High quality from a reliable producer.

This shoe is marked as men's when in fact they are women's sizes. I purchased the same shoe in a different color and they were the true size 9.5 wide men's,

These are my new favorite shoes.... lightweight do-everything shoes that I use on dog walks that turn into trail runs and wear into town for errands. Don't love the color options, but overall, great shoes from Vasque. They fit my narrow low-volume US size 13 great.

The shoes feel good to wear. I have my own arch supports so that solves ant problems. The greatest thing about them is the narrow width. My feet are AA to AAA and it is hard finding shoes that are not loose width wise. Great Fit.

Great boots, im a plumber and I am really hard on boots. Kicking a shovel, constant squatting and being wet often wears boots out fast. I buy them for work boots They hold up better than any other brand that i have tried. Very comfortable

I bought these boots a few weeks ago after reading the evaluation at outdoorgearlab.com, where these were the #4 recommended boot. I wore them on a few dog walks on even, paved terrain, and they seemed fine, so today I wore them on a 3.5 mile hike on varied terrain. My feet were not happy by the end of this relatively short hike. My smaller foot (by 1/2 size) was sore across the top and heel. We stopped for lunch right after our hike, and when I got up from lunch, my feet really hurt. I generally wear a 6.5, and though I tried the 7 at the store as well, they tended to bend in the middle of the upper, so I bought the 6.5, despite being unconvinced that there was enough room in the toebox. I have high arches, rather severe pronation, a 1/2 size difference between feet, and narrow heels, so not your typical feet I suppose. I did try my orthotics with these boots, and they did not work, so I wore them without. I have a 12 year old pair of Vasques that are still comfortable and in quite good condition, but my feet do get tired in those after several hours as well. Looking for something I can hike in all day for an upcoming 3 week trip to New Zealand. I also bought the Hoka One One Tor Ultra Hi boot (#1 rated at Outdoorgearlab, and apparently worn by basically all NPS staff), and if those don't work out (I have my doubts about them as well, and already know my orthotics don't work in them), I will be trying the Salomon X Utra Mid GTX (#2 at Outdoorgearlab).

I was hoping for more than this from Vasque. The sole has very shallow lugs and seems thin, meaning closer to my foot than I would like. My feet like to be more protected, more above the earth than these allow. My next pair of boots will have a much thicker, stronger sole. These boots are more like a street hiker. They won't help me much on the trail, especially on variable terrain. Learning experience.
