This mat is really large and heavy, and I could not have moved it at all without my husband's help. But, I knew it would be and it was just what I was looking for. I use it as a nice permanent mat that stays always rolled out for easy access and stretching any time. Love it!

So happy with my mat! It truly lives up to Manduka's reputation as being the best on the market. Very sticky and the purple color is beautiful in person.

So comfortable. Great beach/summer weekend pants. Interesting and stylish. I don't love the tie in front but overall still happy with the purchase.

I would give this product 5 stars if I had received a Manduka yoga mat. I received a fake Manduka. Easy to tell it's a fake - the thickness is not even close to the pro series, the logo is missing, the color is wrong, and the top of the mat is not that of a Manduka. However, it was wrapped in a Manduka label. Shame on zappos for charging $130 for a fake.

This runs way too small! I always normally wear a small (34A,124lbs) but I think I would need an XL! I think this would have fit my eight year old daughter :0

The mat works great, surprisingly comfortable for its thickness. My old mat is the same thickness but not nearly as comfortable - must be a different type of cushioning material. The mat does not have a bad smell like other mats tend to have. This one is ready to go from the get go. Recommended.

I am a beginner to yoga and found myself constantly slipping around due to sweaty palms and feet. My yoga instructor suggested this mat and it's been a night and day difference! I love this mat!

Great towel. I dont use it for yoga, just for high intensity workouts where sweat is abundant. It gets the job done well, its soft on the face and moisture absorbent.

I love this mat! I had a cheaper mat, kept shredding on me. This one is so comfortable and sturdy. I highly recommend, don't hesitate to buy. Also the color is so cute.

I bought this mat after reading a number of good reviews out on the web about this mat in particular, and the company in whole. I bought this for Christmas for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loves it. It has a lot of traction, and definitely provides a nice level of cushioning. Will likely go get one for myself as well.!

Love the neutral color which will go with any mat. It's soft and long enough to prevent you from sliding during practice. I just wish it came with a strap for easy carrying but you can always buy one of those.

Love my yogitoes! The print is lovely and it holds steady on my mat when I used to have problems slipping on my hands. Now I can't practice without it.

I love this mat!! Being fairly new to yoga, I only have used my cheap $15 mat thus far. This mat will be an absolute game changer!! As other reviewers have pointed out, there is a rubbery odor when it first arrives, but it's not THAT bad and I imagine it won't take too long to get rid of with some effort.

Seems like a nice product. However, on the site it says that it's "Made in Germany," but on the package it says "Made in Taiwan." If you're interested at all in where the items you're purchasing come from, then Amazon and Co. (maybe most of the internet, too) might not be the best place to shop. When I contacted customer service about this, they did investigate it and were very nice about it. BUT they said that they couldn't take any further action unless there were at least two complaints! That was surprising to me. I mean, I was essentially informed that if one customer has an issue that it's not enough for Zappos to correct the incorrect information. I guess it surprised me since I've come to trust the Zappos brand more so than some others and to receive excellent customer service from them. But customers don't come in pairs; they come in singles. And it's the millions of singles who make up the "mass" of customers. That's why I was surprised that a request to "right a wrong" and correct the product origin country essentially fell on deaf ears. Don't get me wrong, the representative was awesome and really helpful. It's just that his hands seemed to be tied as well. Anyhow, Zappos, please list the country of origin on all your products. "Imported" or inaccurate information just won't do for some of us who care to know and act on the fact that human rights are being violated by China and other countries to the point where people are losing their lives just for practicing, of all things, yoga essentially and believing a certain thing (i.e., the Falun Dafa and other groups). And, if it's possible, please also be more intentional about sourcing items from countries that attempt to protect the rights of their citizens and to respect human individuals no matter where they're from. Zappos has to me become a brand that represents excellent customer service and a brand that tries to do right by their stakeholders. I hope those qualities are not lost in a rush to profit

I ordered this in the aqua. It's so pretty. I practice a lot of hot yoga and my hands get so sweaty and tend to slip on my mat. I love these towels. I place one at the front of my mat after spritzing a mixture of water and my favorite scented oil and it helps with the grip so much. Nice to have also to wipe down after practice. Highly recommend.

Love this. I ordered it in purple. I take a lot of hot yoga classes and I ordered this so my hands don't slip when I'm sweating. I spray a light mist of water and my favorite scented oil on it and it gives excellent grip. Highly recommend.

After much research, I bought this mat (though the extra long version) for a couple of reasons. 1- It is the standard or definitive mat that I kept seeing on blog after blog and under yogis and instructors in class. 2- The lifetime warranty (I had read that Jade and Lululemon's wear down rather fast). 3- The durability. 4- The cushion (I tore my ACL and MCL a year ago and so my knee is will never be quite the same.) I was very nervous about the many complaints about slippery surface upon initial use. I did find that when it first arrived it was a little slick, but I proceeded to break it in via the video they post on Manduka's website using a salt scrub and placing in the sun. I also purchased a Yogitoes towel to use because I sweat profusely during hot yoga sessions. The towel, combined with the break-in, work wonderfully. I can tell that each time I use the mat it becomes more "mine" and feels better and better. I can't imagine not using a towel anyway because I have sweat dripping off of me like a faucet during practice, so I think I will always use a towel despite breaking in the mat. Yes, I'm that sweaty. :/ It even runs UP my nose. While I do concede that it was an investment to purchase the mat and towel (I subsequently ordered more towels to reduce having to wash it every night), it really isn't much different that buying a quality pair of running shoes or something. I figure I have already earned my money's worth and none of the items have shown wear. I adore everything that I have purchased and feel like it was money well spent. I'm a true Manduka fan; I LOVE their stuff. Another concern I often see on the Manduka Black is the weight. While I will agree that the mat is heavy (especially since I wanted the long version), it's not a deal breaker by any means for me. I drive to my class so lugging it from car to class is not a big deal. I do see how others, with the Mat by Lulu or Jade mats have less bulk, for me and my knee, I'm grateful for my luxurious mat. I'm glad I decided on the mat I did. If you are walking a ways to class, taking the subway, or a bike, I can see how some would not like the bulk. For me though, I love my mat so much, I wouldn't change a thing.

Don't let the rolled image fool you, this yoga mat is way more than that! The beauty of this thing is in how tightly it folds down. I can easily get it down to about 12" x 6" at about 1.5" depth, and when I unfold it even after a full eight hours at work, it springs back to its original shape without any creasing or corners. I ride my bike from home to the yoga studio to work, and was looking for a different bag to carry my full mat. This is a perfect solution for a bike commuter that also does yoga since I didn't have to drop two to three times the cost for a specialized bag that doesn't fit my computer or bike tools that I also need. It's got very strong grip and is super sticky. I still use a towel because I sweat like a cold drink on a hot day, but it would hold any normal person. It's obviously not as cushioning as a normal mat so if you have any wrist, ankle, or contact-point pain in sit bones or knees, you'll want to supplement with a towel or blanket.
