The looks of this shoe - Very Cool, The quality of this shoe - very good, the fit of this shoe - horrible unless your foot is the size of a pencil! I gave this shoe 5 stars for style, 1 star for fit and overall 2 stars. After all, I didn't buy them to put on my mantle I bought them to run in. I ran about 1 mile and had to turn back for home because it felt like my feet were in a vice. I was running in my suburb and they hurt like hell, I cant imagine trying to run in the wilderness and thats what these shoes were designed for.

Fantastic shoes. I use them for work and casual wear. I am on my feet for ten hours at a time at work and I cover a lot of ground. These shoes are extremely comfortable and quite breathable. They also last much better than most other atheists shoes. Previously I would go through a pair of shoes every six months at the longest. These however have lasted 13 months and are just now starting to breakdown. Just for reference, I cover 8 to 10 miles a day in a 4 day workweek. Mine literally have hundreds of miles on them. I already have a backup pair I am going to put into service and I will buy another pair to wear casually.

$700+ for a boot?! Actually, it is worth the money. It is two boots- an inner quilted boot that is warm and can be custom fitted for comfort (and the thickness of socks you prefer) and an outer ski-boot like shell that also can be adjusted. It was a delight to find a boot that was warm, flexible, and wide enough for my feet- and much lighter than a ski boot.

Order 1/2 larger than your usual running shoe. Excellent cushion and breathability. Very supportive and stable. The middle of the shoe has a shank that provides lots of stability and arch support. Great style. Excellent for long runs. Super aggressive deep sole tread.

Buying a second pair because they are so comfortable and supportive! I have a narrow heel, wider forefoot, modest bunions, and a "low volume" foot over all - and my feet are in heaven in these. Really feel supported and ready for adventure. They fit a bit differently than some other la sportiva I tried on - in that they have more room or height in the toe area, so the top of the shoe does not press on the tops of the toes. Usually wear a 7 1/2 in shoes, and 8 or 8 1/2 in athletic shoes, and the size 8 or 39 1/2 fit perfectly. I read some review on another site that they have a flaw that makes them start to fall apart in wet conditions. I plan to keep these as dry as possible and keep my fingers crossed - I am so happy with them otherwise!

Most comfortable approach shoe I've worn thus far, and I've burned through a lot of La Sportiva's in the past.

Love these boots! They are lightweight, support my ankles, and have plenty of room in the toebox. I normally wear a US size 9 wide so I bought the 10.5 size of these boots and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend!

Initial feel is like a hug for your foot. Looks way cooler than the images. Unfortunately the inside seams are very obtrusive. After 3 months of wearing these every other day they were comfortable for a couple hours, 4 months before I could tolerate them for more than 6 hours. The internal seams cut into the widest point of the outside of your foot. If you have narrow feet I highly recommend these shoes.

Great approach shoes! Get you up to a climb and also my choice for hiking. Perfect for a day hike and even backpacking unless you require ankle support. The style is super cute. The soles are durable. Highly recommend these.

I LOVE these boots. I've had them for about 5 months now, and I've probably hiked upwards of 100 miles in them over varying conditions (snow, ice, rocks, dirt and pavement!), in addition to "around town" wear. I am prone to blisters, but I haven't gotten a single one since I put these on the first day--they just fit so well. They're super light, they've taken a beating and still look like new, and the treads are holding up very nicely. I have a wide foot box and higher arch, and these fit nicely--not too snug, and very adjustable. I've owned a LOT of boots over the years; my favorite mid/high lightweight boot for the past few years has been the Salomon X Ultra series boots, but the Contragrip treads in those boots wears away too quickly: these boots are just as light, even more comfortable, more waterproof, and have Vibram soles that will last forever. I highly recommend buying these boots (and I'm buying a 2nd pair today, just in case they sell out)!

Just got them and they fit in length and width but the height is short so they're pretty tight across the top of the foot. Never had this issue with a shoe before. Will see if they break in after a day or so. If they didn't look so good, I'd return them instantly.

This is my forth pair of these. My only complaint is that you have to double tie the laces or they come untied easily.

Oh No! These were WAY too small! I'd say at least 1 size too small. And they were heavy. Clonky. A big no, here.

I'm a size 8.5/9, so I ordered both sizes (40/40.5) and ended up keeping the 8.5/40, with plenty of wiggle room for my toes. I've only worn the boots a handful of times and feel the high ankle needs to be worn in a bit yet, but I'm looking forward to these lasting a long time. My feet felt well supported on the few hikes I've done so far and the boots look great.

Great shoes, but go a half size or so up.

My third pair, great approach and day hiking shoe. Zero break in--take off right out of the box. Sturdy enough to support carrying overnight pack yet light and comfortable. Need to orde 1/2 size up to fit. I wear 10.5, need an 11.

These are lovely light hiking boots. But to get the correct sizing took a bit of patience. Initially ordered in 7 but too short. Then ordered in 7.5. Also too short and no real discernible difference in length between the 7 and 7.5. Wear a 7-7.5 in street shoes. Have a narrow foot and except for the length either of these smaller sizes would have worked. Have a 8 in Sportiva light trail shoes (love them as well) but had tried on a different Sportiva hiking boots at a local store and thought 7 was the size I needed in the hiking boot. Ended up with the 8 although there is probably too much room all round. But the length is finally good and can cinch up the boot to tighten it and wear thicker socks if needed. Haven't worn them except for short foothills hikes but don't think will need much to break them in. Plus they are so light and snazzy looking.

Shoes are gorgeous!!! Light weight. They have a narrow toe box and little toe protection. I am having to return them, unfortunately.

I've owned 4 pairs of these and plan on ordering again in the spring. I can feel the breeze running past my feet so not advised for cold weather. Great cushioning and the heel cup is superb. I wear 12.5-13 and size 47 fits perfectly for me. I use them for trail running and another pair for nursing.

Great lightweight shoe. Would have loved to keep the shoe, but with wider feet these were too narrow. Very breathable and great lacing system. Highly recommend if you do not have wide feet.

Great trail shoe or can be used for approach as well
