My feet love these shoes. I tried three other trail shoes before finding the Mantra (all major brands). These were great out of the box. They are even better looking than the photo indicates, and they are designed for comfort as well as stability.

Great hiking boots! Tried many other brands looking for truly waterproof hiking boots. Asolo were the only brand that kept my feet dry while walking through wet grasses all day. Although they are still a little stiff after a month of hiking every other day, they are comfortable and still waterproof!

These are so comfortable. I feel secure, safe, my ankles are protected, I can step on absolutely anything, and I can walk for miles and miles and miles in these. Love them. I didn't need any breaking-in time at all, personally, but then that might just be me. I wear thick socks with all of my shoes, so I always order a half size up. Maybe this is also why I didn't need any adjustment time. Great shoes!

These boots are great. Bought my special ops unit a pair to conduct tactical missions. Great durability for Afghanistan and any other rugged terrain. Asolo has already been a trusted brand in our trade.

These are probably great boots for those with narrow feet, but if your feet are even moderately wide, proceed with caution. I bought size 9 wide, and while the length is correct and the ankle support terrific, the toe box is very constricted and cramps the toes. I've worn the boots for over a month now, all the time trying to convince myself it's just a matter of breaking them in, but my toes keep barking for more room.

I've had these boots for about 4 months now. I bought them to perform several functions: motocycling, outdoor work, hiking, casual wear. I've hiked in them several times and each time I've gotten some nasty blisters on my heels. I've come to the conclusion that these boots will never work for strenuous hiking. I think the problem is the Gortex liner which doesn't allow the feet to breathe. Sweat builds up quickly, the feet get damp and consequently begin to blister where there's any friction; in my case the heel. I tried several lacing systems to cinch the heel tighter into the heel cup but to no avail. For other, less strenuous purposes the boots are quite comfortable; but for their intended purpose, for me, they're an utter failure.

I like these boots so far. I've only owned two pair of asolo hiking boots, but I am loyal to the brand because my first pair lasted me 12 years. I climbed Adams, Mt St Helens, Brothers, Three Fingers, Stewart, Pugh, Sloan, and others. Great Boots!

I love these boots! I finally wore out my Asolo FSN 95 boots after 10 years and was going to replace them with another pair (they are still available on Zappos.com). I saw the Morans and decided to give them a try since they are 10 - 12 years newer of a design. It is a credit to Asolo that the old design was so good, but the Moran is better for comfort, stability, and support. My feet are flat and the included footbed works really well for that. A high arch would likely need a new footbed. I was a bit skeptical of the no break-in needed reviews (sorry!) but those people are correct - this is the best boot out of the box ever, despite it feeling very stiff to start with. I needed a half size larger Moran than I did in the FSN 95. The Moran is also a half size larger than my runners. Order up a half size.

I purchased these for work. I am a land surveyor and I hike over rough terrain, through mud and stand on asphalt. These boots have held up well, but they are far from comfortable. The eyelet lace on top of my toes has worn through the inner lining of the boot and has caused quite a sore on both of my feet. I have been wearing these for 6 months and now it looks as if I need to retire them. Quite a shame as these boots are touted as some of the best made.

My double socked foot for hiking: 280mm long, 111mm wide, Euro size 44. Boot: US 10.5, Euro 44.5. Length okay, too narrow across my forefoot. One size chart said my foot was an E width, boot is a D. Toe box was cramped. Felt very hard, like tile, under balls of feet. Boot has a slight rocking motion to help roll into the step; I liked that. Lace system has little roller bearings, made for comfy fit across top of foot.

These are the best hikers that I ever had! I do not get any wet feet, blisters and after 10 hours it felt like I had had a foot massage. I do a lot of hiking on the Appalachian Trail in the rocks of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

I used to wear Zamberlain Civettas all the time and absolutely love them but as I got older my feet changed and I have had to go in search of new boots. These boots seem to fit my feet decently, but they wear on me around the ankle a bit. Some more break-in time may change this. Otherwise they are comfortable mid-weight boots. I have carried a mid-weight backpack wearing these and got plenty of support and my feet were dry and comfortable. As with any shoes fit is everything. They are great boots and are the closest thing that I have found to a good fit but I am not in love... through no fault of the boots.

These boots are beautifully made. But they are very stiff and unforgiving on the front of the ankle. The collar is very stiff. The footbed is still a little long, even for a 7.5 I usually where an 8, but even the 7.5 is a little long. I am skeptical about the arch support.

I have been wearing the Asolo power magic 200 GV for many years. I changed over to these Asolo Fugitive GTX and very happy I did - very comfortable, lightweight from the first wearing.

I am very disappointed with this product. I have been wearing them for two weeks for 8-9 hours a day. The cuff is so poorly designed and crafted that it has hard pressure points under the lace points resulting in extreme pain. I have cut them out to make the boots wearable. The fit has changed to much in over all volume and width due to material compaction I have added an addition insole and 3 layers of duct tape on the original to secure my foot in the boot. The 10.5 was to short the 11 is way to big indicating to me a cheap lasting program. Avoid this entire series of Asolo products unless you have a high volume foot.

As usual Asolo doesn't disappoint! Great boots! Worth every penny. Took a little bit of break-in, but these are just about the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owed. Great ankle support, breathability, and they keep your dry! Had 'em for about 8 months now and they still feel and look great.

Bought this Asolo type about 15 years ago. I have never considered another. High arch support if you like that. I would wear these everyday for everything if I was not worried about wearing them out. hands down the most comfortable foot wear I own.

What more can you say about boots with 39 reviews and they still have a five star rating? I just bought my third pair, they are the only boots that I have worn for the past four years and I wear them every day, I also added the Spenco ¾ arch support.

This boot is very comfortable and stylish. I had to climb uphill through mud and my feet felt warm and secure with no slipping and sliding. Only two things I would have like better. The shoe is a tad heavy. I know it is for hiking but still I could have used a little less weight. No matter how tight I lace up, the top of the boot don't get tight enough. Rocks keep getting into the top. Even with these minor annoyances I would still recommend these boots.
