ABS Allen Schwartz Reviews
My boyfriend loves this dress; I think it's okay. It feels cheap and is something that would be a great TJMaxx score for $25, but the price point seems high. Also, I returned the medium (I'm an average size 6) because I was swimming in it. If you're on the fence, I would order a size smaller (also, probably why men like this one). Last, the color depicted is not accurate. In reality, it is much brighter and errs on the side of - almost - inappropriate for work.
This dress is really pretty. I love the way the ruffle on the side moves as you walk. It's very figure flattering and it's wrinkle resistant too. Definitely a keeper.
This is a beautiful dress - great color, great fabric, but fits oddly. I am normally a size 14 and wear a 38D bra - I ordered a size 14 for this and it's extremely tight in the waist and extremely loose in the bust. I will be returning it because I can't afford the dress AND tailoring. If you have a smaller waist and a bigger bust, though, it would be perfect!
I love this style of dress. It's very becoming if you have a tummy issue! It is very well made and fits true to size. You'll love it!
Absolutely loved this dress! Super fun, very casual, as much as it can be with sequins. I am returning this, only because my legs aren't my best feature, and the length that was listed should have almost hit my knees. It was a good 5-6 inches from my knees, and my legs aren't long. I am 5'6". Very bummed to send this back. I would keep it, and work out to wear it! But I need a dress for an event in 2 days.
The color is not as pictured. It's more burgundy red (dark). It fit just ok. It's a good length, especially if you're short.

What a terrible dress. It looks so much better in pictures than in real life. The back has covered buttons, which would be lovely but none of them work! They're just fake buttons. In fact, the dress has no side zipper or other means of graceful entry. You're meant to slide it over your head, like a pullover. This is a terrible design flaw because the dress must be form fitting but is made of a non-stretch fabric. Every time you put the dress on or remove it, you're liable to pop a stitch. And this is all the more likely because the entire construction of the dress is a cheap, rush job, which would be fine if it sold for a lot less. The interior lining is very badly constructed and entirely unfinished. It's sewn with a simple stitch and the fabric ends are exposed. Thus the lining pokes into you all along the seams, brushing you with its fraying poly-satin. To add insult to injury, ABS covers its butt by attaching a tag that states the dress' fabric should have irregularities in color and texture, explaining it's a part of the fabric's "natural beauty," and should not be taken as a flaw. This is silly. It's not like we're talking about silk shantung. The dress is constructed entirely of synthetic materials, so the only color/texture variation would be due to substandard fabric production methods. And the original dress worn by the Duchess' sister was a smooth flowing column in a singular color, uninterrupted by flaws. At the very least, an expensive imitation can refrain from telling you that the product is so inferior they aren't even trying for verisimilitude. The only thing I look forward to regarding this dress is the Zappos return process. They stand by their products and I'm happy I won't be paying a return shipping fee on this extremely disappointing dress.
